By Bus: Salvador - Valença From Salvador, ferry to Bom Despacho, on Itaparica Island (time: one hour / price: about 7 reais per person). Once you've crossed, take a bus or taxi to Valença that leave from the ferry's own landing site. If you take the bus, it is a 2-hour trip and the price is around 25 reais. If the option is a taxi to Valença, it is an hour's ride and costs about 150.00. In Valença, take the boat to Boipeba for 44 reais. By car: Arriving in Valença or Torrinha and then taking the boat to Boipeba.
