Welcome to our charming early 19th-century cottage, a peaceful retreat in beautiful Devon countryside, with easy access from the North Devon Coastal Path/Tarka Trail, 300 metres from the tidal River Torridge and a 20-minute stroll from the heart of Bideford. This is a peaceful retreat full of character and warmth. Relax in the comfort of your well-appointed room while immersing yourself in the beauty of the serene forest. The space The house has 2 guest rooms. Room 2 may be configured as a single bed, twin beds or super king, so perfect for solo travellers, friends or couples. The room is equipped with a TV, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and toaster, so you can enjoy light meals or snacks at your leisure. Cold breakfast supplies are provided in the rooms or we offer cooked breakfasts for an additional charge, which please book in advance. Each room has a small breakfast table, a separate desk for work, wardrobe and drawers. The house is full of books which you may borrow during your stay. Guest access Private bedroom and your own bathroom a few metres along a hallway. Enjoy access to 3 acres of our forest garden. It is a mix of flat and hilly terrain, some terraced and accessible via steps. Please take care if you decide to explore as some steps are uneven and without handrails! During your stay Your hosts, Joana and Robert, are mostly on-site, offering assistance to make your stay enjoyable. Other things to note We offer a cooked breakfast (£8.50pp) or an evening meal (£12.50pp).
