SHORT DESCRIPTION: Number of guests is limited to six, including children, plus one infant or toddler sleeping in the traveling cot we provide. READ ON ... The chef’s KITCHEN by Arclinea is outfitted with top-notch cooking- and elegant table ware. All appliances are Miele. Oven, steamer, warming drawer, induction cooking, dishwasher and separate freezer. Several small appliances upon request. Nespresso machine, Nespresso Vertuo, Drip Coffee maker, French Press for coffee aficionados! LAUNDRY ROOM with Miele washer/dryer. Very practical set-up even for long stays. The kitchen wing of the house is the main day-time area. The LIVING ROOM is across the courtyard. Older kids can be supervised visually from kitchen without parents being disturbed by TV or gaming sounds. Young children find lots of room to play in the kitchen or the play room. BEDROOMS: Unique 800 sq.ft. "sleeping pod" perfectly suited to a number of traveling scenarios: ONE COUPLE OR SINGLE PERSON will share the wonderfully spacious master suite complete with dressing area, free-standing tub, large shower and separate half-bath with toilet/bidet. The kids' room now becomes a roomy and quiet oasis for reading or working. FAMILIES WITH YOUNG KIDS will enjoy a sense of togetherness. The Kid's room leads directly to the half-bath and through the open master bath and dressing area to where the parents sleep. Enough room for an additional cot for the youngest member of the family. Small children can feel secure when doors to the hallway are closed but interior doors between sleeping areas remain open. In inclement weather, the kids' room becomes a spacious play zone. It is set up with two quality pull out beds that can convert back to a cozy couch for cuddling up during the day. Toys galore: board games, Lego, Lego Duplo, Playmobil sets, wood blocks for ball tracks and castles, etc. FAMILIES WITH OLDER CHILDREN must be comfortable with kids sharing their roomy play and sleeping quarters. The master suite can be closed off from the the kids' room. The kids then use hall bath with shower. TWO COUPLES traveling together will want to draw straws for the master suite :-) Pull out couch in kid's room becomes a queen size bed. GENERALLY SPEAKING ... Although fixtures throughout the house are upgraded, the home (which we lived in for 11 years) feels very down to earth. You will not have to watch every move you make, although we hope you will treat this home as well as you would like yours to be treated. Air-con is much frowned upon in Switzerland, but the house offers automatic air circulation. There are both inside and outside sun shades in select locations, wood blinds in the east. There are 4 outside patio doors in the kitchen to catch a cross breeze. Guest access The garden unit, described above, is all yours. All interior photos depict this unit. In the pictures showing the entrance to Reflection House, you can see the entrance doors to the penthouse unit. This is where we live. We are here to help or answer questions and strive to be discreet and quiet neighbors at all times. Other things to note Reflection House was conceived as a bungalow around a courtyard garden in 2011. In 2022 we added a small penthouse unit above. Privacy and sound insulation between both units is excellent. Separate entrances. The garden level, advertised here, still feels very much like the free-standing home it was designed as. The large expanses of windows in the kitchen make for an incredible atmosphere. Naturally, these reduce privacy in this space .... but luckily the kitchen faces grassland, fields and a farm lane, only. Furnishings and design will continue to evolve and furniture pieces may not be the exact items you see in the photos. Generally, furniture will be high-end Italian such as Poliform, Molteni and b&b Italia. To comply with Swiss law we will ask for your travel documents (I.D. card or passport) upon arrival and register our guests with the community office.
