This first floor private apartment was recently renovated and has everything you need for a shorter or longer stay. It is in a Victorian home built in 1887 in the Armory historic district. In addition to the bedroom and bath, the apartment has a den, a full kitchen and a small butler's pantry. The bedroom is quiet and away from the street. The apartment has central air with heat and A/C . The neighborhood has lots of character and is located close to many amenities and to downtown. The apartment is located in our home, but it has it's own private entrance. The entrance has a self-entry system, so guests have flexibility with arrival and departure times. We recently renovated the apartment. It has brand new kitchen cabinets and appliances. If you like to cook, you should be happy with the five burner gas stove, as well as the dishwasher. For those who prefer the convenience of heating up leftovers, there is a microwave. If you are spending some time and want to take on some cooking, we have several essentials in the apartment, but are happy to lend additonal items if you'd like anything from a mandolin to a bundt pan. We like to cook and most likely have what you need. We offer complimentary coffee and tea. The den has a smart TV and you can access any services you may be subscribed to. We offer access to Netflix. We also have some books and cookbooks on the shelves if you'd prefer to disconnect for a bit. The bedroom has a lot of natural light. It also has a closet with some shelves and hangers. The back window looks out to our yard. We have slowly renovated the house over the last few years and still have some work to do on the yard. It has been a labor of love, and are happy to call this house and the neighborhood home. We have made it convenient for guests to check-in and check-out independently if that's what they prefer. However, we would be happy to meet our guests, share a coffee and chat a bit. We always enjoy sharing what we love about Providence. The house is located two blocks from the Armory. It is walking distance to several amenities. Some of our favorites are: the neighborhood deli (Hudson St. Deli), Sin (for coffee, dessert and cocktails), Pan-a-day (for lunch takeout) , Nick's on Broadway for a great breakfast or lunch and Lucky Enough for a bar with good food. Some nice dinner options are Broadway Bistro and Great Northern BBQ company. The neighborhood is diverse and has a lot of character. It is safe, but take the usual precautions as you would in any urban environment. (Don't leave items visible in your car, etc).
