The space In the main house, they get a loft on the top floor above the household with a beautiful view of the fjord with 2 balconies, a stove, kitchen, bathroom and private entrance on the 3rd floor. Aarvik gard has buildings dated back to the 1700s and 1800s with the oldest; smoke radio with fields in the ceiling and most likely is also from that time or older. The tuna is surrounded by hills that we beat every summer and have a lovely location right at sea. We have a pebble beach and several nice places where you can jump out into the sea and swim. In the long run, there will also be a dock here, where people can arrive by boat. There is also a springflor up on the roar that our animals eat on, here is lovely to hike and enjoy the view of the Bjørnafjord at the top. The ride takes about 20min from the yard. At the garden there is also old mowing land and nature pastures in the area opposite the garden. The bakery is open Wednesday-Sunday during the school holidays. For more information about Kva we offer in the cafe, they can find it on our home page AarvikGard. No. The farm has been around since the 16th century and was overcrowded by our ancestors in the late 18th century. The tuna consists of 13 buildings, of which 4 stand in a cluster of two living rooms with a lot of handmade and beautiful handshake/decorated furniture that our ancestors have made, etc., and skykkjo. The firehouse stands a little bit from the cluster. The old smio is located outside the cluster. The smallpole house is also located a small distance from the cluster to the lake. It says leftovers after several yard mills upwards in Årvik-elvo. Down by the sea where the river runs out (Mjølhålo) there is an old sea bay and bullpen in gates, a workshop and saw houses. Guest access At the farm there is a bakery and cafe in the area open from Easter until Christmas, with extended opening hours during the school's summer holidays. We have a farm shop in the staff shed that it is possible to shop for local food in. Røykstovo, the neighboring house that is a living room from the old days where people stayed and cooked for food, is free to use both when the cafe is open and outside of opening hours. You can also walk around the entire yard, up to the stables and down to the sea and swim. You can rent both a boat and canoe with life jackets, just remember to ask if it is available. There is also the possibility to rent sup boards. Other things to note We sincerely welcome you to enjoy the beautiful space on our farm and we look forward to hitting you! Here, you're really going to have the opportunity to calm down your soul and get to you and be part of nature. In Oldemors Stove there is a single bed in a kingdom room and a room with a double bed of 160 cm. There is also an extra Sleep on Nature mattress, so there is plenty of space for 4 people. The food we cook is organic and grown here at the farm or comes from surrounding yards. The raw materials we use in the bakery come from cornfields in the east and are painted by Holli Mølle. All baking is done by hand in the old way and is baked in stone ovens. If desired, they can order breakfast to the room or alternatively sit in the café. The breakfast consists of freshly baked sourdough bread, cold cuts from the farm and local food producers from our area, apple juice and coffee/tea. There are also possibilities to book dinner for the stay, we will put you in contact with good catering companies in the vicinity that can deliver the food to you.
