Welcome to our bungalow. Just a few steps from Walpole Bay Tidal Pool in Palm Bay, Margate. Our house is a detached 1957 beachside bungalow on a large corner plot with sea views, sauna & outdoor shower. Reimagined & extended in a mid century modernist style. We have sea views from the spacious living, dining & kitchen space and 3 of the 4 bedrooms. We renovated our home for our family to enjoy but created a versatile space that all can appreciate. Off street parking for 4 cars & EV charging. The space We have a newly renovated and extended, architecturally designed single story home. We love the practicalities of a bungalow and set out on a journey to redevelop the space to suit today's multi generational family and believe you will find everything you need for a stylish and luxurious stay. We were passionate about ensuring we had multiple master bedrooms, so all guests get the best room. Choose between a super spacious master bedroom with king size bed, biggest wardrobe and the best view of the sea and the historic Walpole Bay Hotel, or the king size bed with sea view and spacious ensuite with double sinks and a walk in shower. Or the Super king bedroom with ensuite wet room and sauna, on the other side of the house and furthest from the bunk room. All kings and super king have bespoke headboards and additional bamboo mattress toppers for extra comfort too. The bunk room has 2 sets of super sturdy and solid, bunk beds with full size singles with thick mattresses and luxury linen, so ideal for kids of all ages but also comfortable for mates sharing. A wardrobe and pull out underbed storage means there is enough room for everyone's bits and pieces. All bathrooms have tons of natural light via sky lights, and the main bathroom has a full size bath. Water pressure is great and the large tank means all bathrooms can be used at one time. We love to cook and bake while here and the kitchen, island and dining space was thoughtfully built to allow enough space to cook, host and house all the essentials and more. We have a utility space that has an extra drinks fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, even an urn and hostess trolley for when the space is used for dinner parties etc. Most comfortably the dining table sits 8-10, and we have an island that sits 4. All appliances are new and high spec and all tableware has been selected to make even a basic sarnie feel abit special. High quality linens and towels are provided throughout and depending on needs of our guests we can configure the space to include high chair, travel cot(s)and there is a good selection of toys, books and games for all ages. From dolls house to Nintendo. This can also all be easily tidied away to create a calm oasis by the sea to disconnect with loved ones or even a great working location with a zoom back drop to be the envy of your colleagues. WiFi is fast and we have Virgin TV, all the apps, a Sonos connected to the record player and a Bose that can bluetooth connect to your phone w/out the hassle of an APP. We have a polished concrete floor with underfloor heating throughout the entire house. The house is best suited to multi generational families. 6 adults across the 3 masters, and 4 kids in the bunks. You could additionally accomodate 2 infants in travel cots if needed quite comfortably. MAX 8 adults. While the bunk room easily accommodates 4 kids, for sharing adults we suggest 2 adults sharing. This is a large family home, ideal to celebrate family birthdays, or for groups of friends to gather BUT this is not a party pad. And unless otherwise agreed only guests sleeping there can be there. Drop us a note to discuss needs! We are in prime position with sunset views over the coastline and positioned just off of the Viking coastal trail. This means we have excellent walks into Margate if you turn left- The Turner gallery is a mile away on foot. Or if you turn right you can walk to Botany Bay, Kingsgate, Joss Bay or even Broadstairs and beyond. Palm Bay beach is the beach to the right of the Walpole Tidal Pool and this can be reached just across the coastal road from the bungalow. The tidal pool being so close means there is no excuse not to have a dip at any time of the year. And you can hop up to the bungalow for an outdoor (hot) shower and/ or a sauna on your return. We have space for 4 cars on the drive, and have an EV charger for those with electric vehicles. Important note when booking: We have spent the last few years renovating this house and we are ready to share this with guests however we are still refining the back garden as our planting matures. The back garden is private with an outdoor dining area that seats 8 and 2 loungers so even the sea view can be enjoyed through the corner windows of the house. In the front of the house we are going more rugged and a Dungeness vibe, we have a fire pit and depending on the time of year you visit pretty stunning wild flowers- enjoying the cross pollination along the coastline. Guest access Guests can use the whole space, including the front and back garden. Access to keys via lock box, instructions provided upon booking.
