Quiet neighborhood , this 2 bedroom 5 sleeper is perfect for a family who want peace and relaxation. Best suited for couples with children or teens. Enjoy nature sounds, birds, monkeys, and bush babies, around the fire pit. Friendly ginger cat on the property; keep your distance if preferred. Children’s toys and cot on request. Next to playground & park; nanny available on request. Not suitable for parties, events, or loud music. The space There are 2 other units on the property, so if you are wanting more space for a family or friends gathering, inbox me to learn more about booking the entire property. There is a live-in housekeeper on the property. A small private courtyard with a fire pit, outdoor eating area, and braai. Communal play area inside the property and a public park next door. Please be aware that Salt Rock has a large monkey population, and you will see monkeys. They are not dangerous, but they may try to sneak in and steal your food. Be mindful of leaving any windows or doors open if you are not in the room. A friendly ginger cat lives on the property - part of our family and happy to greet guests. Please note if you have allergies. Guest access Monkey Mansions is a self check-in property. All access details and instructions are sent to you and included in our arrival guide. Check in is from 2pm. Other things to note A Little Extra for Families: Our Activity Room We’re so happy to let you know about something special available during your stay. We have a dedicated Activity Room on the property a creative, child-friendly space designed for play, making, exploring, and relaxed learning. Many families find that it becomes a favourite part of their stay. Where it is & how to access it The Activity Room is located inside the garage and accessed via the glass door behind the garage. To open the garage door, you’ll find the remote on the windowsill above the kitchen sink. Please leave the remote there at all times so it’s easy for everyone to find. Because we’re in a monkey-rich area, please make sure the glass door and garage door are closed when the space isn’t in use, as monkeys will happily wander in if given the chance. What you’ll find inside The space is stocked with a wide range of creative materials, toys, and recycled items for open-ended play. - Children are very welcome under adult supervision - Most equipment and recycled materials are free and unlimited - We ask that toys and materials are packed away after use so the space stays lovely for everyone Consumables & shared care Some items, like paints, paper, and craft supplies, are consumables. We use a simple honesty system so we can restock these for future families. If you’re ever unsure what was used, just let us know — we’re happy to check and keep it easy and fair. At checkout, we do a gentle recon of the Activity Room so we know what needs topping up. Safety & peace of mind For everyone’s safety and to support shared use of the space, CCTV is in operation in and around the Activity Room. Footage is only checked if needed and handled responsibly.
