The Cagire Refuge

Old renovated stable, on the edge of the forest, 20 minutes from the picturesque and family resort of Mourtis and 7 minutes from the village of Aspet. Come and recharge your batteries with your family in the Pyrenees throughout the year! Close to amenities, hiking trails, passes (Portet d'Aspet, Col des Ares), the "Refuge du Cagire" offers renovated and warm accommodation! The space The place is great for recharging your batteries with its small private garden located in front of the forest. Formerly a renovated barn, it is located in Milhas, 7 minutes from the charming little village of Aspet where you will find all the amenities for everyday needs: bakery, bank, grocery store, restaurants, café, delicatessen, tobacco/press. A swimming pool welcomes you in summer, with a very attractive entrance price. For lovers of local products, the Aspet market is held there every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. In winter, you will be 20 minutes from the Mourtis resort. In summer, Milhas offers nearby hiking trails, passes to climb for cycling enthusiasts (Portet d'Aspet, Col des Ares...) beautiful visits to the Comminges region (Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, Luchon, Saint-Gaudens) or enjoy the Balnéa thermal spa in Loudenvielle (allow 1 hour 20 minutes from the accommodation) or the Salinea spa in Salies du Salat (allow 25 minutes from the accommodation). The Space: "Le Refuge du Cagire has all the comforts you'll need: it's a 100 m2 old barn, carefully renovated with its private garden, pellet stove, ideal for winter evenings. The view is unique: on one side over the village and the lovely little stream "Le Rossignol" which crosses it, on the other a view of the wood, ideal for observing wildlife such as deer or hinds, especially during the rutting season. It is composed of: - A large living room of approximately 68 m2: a living room, dining room with sofa, flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, large dining table. An open kitchen with all the necessary amenities: oven, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, induction stove, raclette, fondue, waffle maker, toaster, fridge/freezer. Basic cooking utensils: pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups... For children: plates, glasses and adapted cutlery, bibs. - A cellar including: a washing machine, a freezer, garden equipment (table, chair) and a space to store ski or hiking equipment. - 2 bedrooms of 11 m2 each, each consisting of a 140 cm bed (2 places), a "Velux" window. - 1 sofa bed of 140 cm (sleeps 2) which is located in the living room. - 1 bathroom with a comfortable shower, towel dryer, extra hairdryer, toilet. The accommodation also includes a chest with board games (dominoes, cards, Trivial Pursuit, Uno…) children's games, coloring books. A reading area is also available, you'll find something to enjoy. Electric heating, pellet stove (with fire screen), fan available for the summer. No garage, free parking is available next to the accommodation. Pets NOT allowed. Linens and towels are not provided. No smoking allowed You will have access to the accommodation through the small private garden.
