Casinha das Vinhas in Sintra's Old Town
Description
Tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of old Sintra is our little house of vines. With original finishes from the 1890s and views of the Moorish castle from the bedroom’s south-facing balcony, you’ll be immersed in Sintra's idyllic village. Centrally located, we’re just around the corner from some of the best restaurants and cafes in town, and only a 3 minute walk from the train station to Lisbon. There is also free parking on the street in front of the house. The space This home was one of the first ones to be built in the town that developed around the train station that connects Sintra to Lisbon. The stonework exposed throughout the house is part of its original structure. Downstairs there is an open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Up a few steps there is also a bathroom. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed (160x200cm) and a balcony with views up to the Moorish castle. There is another bedroom down the hall with a pull-out bed that can be used as either a single or queen-sized bed (160x200cm). There is also a study/yoga room, walk-in closet and laundry room, and bathroom on the second floor. Outside is a garden courtyard with a seating area. We share this space with a very kind and loving street cat, Ruainha, who likes to sleep on the cushions in the evening. Guest access The guests have access to the whole house, except the downstairs study which will remain locked. Registration details 151801/AL
