Found in a leafy back street of Blairgowrie and hidden from crowds, our classic beach house is super close to the beach and everything else the southern part of the Peninsula has to offer. Slow down. The space Brimming with comfort, style and flooded in natural light, The Hideaway offers guests plenty of space to come together – or escape with the upstairs retreat! The entire top level is dedicated to a spacious open plan primary bedroom, extending out onto a sundrenched back deck. Downstairs are the living zones and the two other bedrooms. A huge comfy sofa and plenty of seating options front an internal fireplace and tv. This space also offers views of a green, lush and expansive backyard. The option of both indoor and outdoor 8-seater dining tables offers the choice to eat inside or outside under the stars. Cook up a feast on the bbq, making the most of the region’s notable gourmet produce. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and stove so you can enjoy slow mornings (or evenings!) at home. A Nespresso coffee machine, tea, sugar, salt and pepper, and olive oil are provided. Cosy up in front of the log fire or entertain on the front outdoor deck with bbq and garden fire pit, this will be enough to make you not want to leave but if you do decide to, you are only a stones throw away from some of the best spots on the Peninsula. Sip award winning wines at one of the 50 cellar doors within 30 mins, soak at the Alba Thermal Springs & Spa which is just 10 mins up the road, or if golf is more your speed, there’s 10 links courses within 20kms. In the evening, retreat to one of the three bedrooms. All are beautifully styled with plush linens. A modest bathroom offers a shower above bath. Guest access You will have full, private access to the property. Bedroom Layout: Bedroom 1 - King Bed Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed Bedroom 3 - Upstairs Retreat - King Bed Heating: In addition to the indoor fireplace, three large portable bar heaters can be easily relocated throughout the property. Please bring your own wood and kindling. You can easily grab a bag at the Blairgowrie IGA or any of the local servos. Cooling: A ceiling fan upstairs adds an extra level of comfort for those really hot days. But: No parties. No pets. No smoking inside the property. Other things to note The Hideaway is centrally located to many nearby towns, beaches and activities. The beautiful Pearses Beach is just a 7min walk (1.1 km) away. You'll be mesmerized by the stunning ocean beaches to the south, overlooking Bass Strait, famous for its rock pools, surfing and scenic coastal walks along rugged limestone cliffs. We’re super lucky that nature has created a private beach for us down at Pearses at high tide. The front beach is another option within walking distance. There are many spots to go to, but our personal favourite is Sullivan Bay which is a 5 min drive towards Sorrento. Otherwise Gunnamatta is patrolled - and only a 10 min drive away. As are Sorrento and Portsea - the same distance, but in the other direction. In terms of local shops, restaurants and cafes, we're an easy 1.5km walk or 3-4 min drive to the Blairgowrie village which host a number of popular local eateries including IGA, Butcher, Pizza, Italian, Fish and Chips, Japanese, multiple Cafes, Burgers and a Chemist. Our local IGA has a great selection of breads, meats and fresh produce, plus a great selection of local and international wines.
