The Old Church Farmhouse

The Old Church Farmhouse is the ideal place to escape and unwind, located just out of Goulburn, an easy 2 hour drive from Sydney. Originally built in the 1870's, the history and charm of this beautiful landmark combined with the comfort of the thoughtful conversion to a home, will make your stay a truly unique experience. Nestled on 30 acres of sprawling landscape, walk down to the dams and bump into a mob of kangaroos, explore the property where bird life is abundant and the air is clean! The space This tasteful converted church building offers open plan living with generous kitchen, dining and multiple lounge areas and a wood burner. The wrap around conservatory enjoys sweeping views of the native gardens, neighbouring farmland and their livestock. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and the dishwasher helps to keep your cleaning to a minimum. We have provided a coffee machine (with pods and longlife milk) and your standard comfort appliances, fridge, freezer, toaster and stove top kettle. The renovated upstairs living provides a master bedroom with ensuite (shower, vanity and toilet) and 2 spacious double bedrooms with mezzanine and a shared bathroom (shower, vanity and toilet). All three bedrooms have plush wool carpet, luxury bedding and fans. The 2.5 acres of landscaped garden is teaming with native plant life which attracts a miriad of birds and butterflies. There is a BBQ station in the old stables, a ping pong table and an abundance of space to enjoy. There is a veggie patch in the front yard where you can help yourself to whatever is in season, and the orchard boasts apples, apricots and raspberries which are yours to pick when ripe. Timing is everything as the birds also like to help themselves! Passing through the gates into the 30 acres of open paddocks, you will find a mowed path that meanders down to the picturesque dam which is shared with the kangaroos, turtles, frogs, waterbirds and yabbies! The newly built picnic deck is a great place to sit, relax and take in the view. Pack a picnic and head down for sunrise or sunset! Sit and relax in the sunlit Conservatory with a cup of tea or your favourite beverage, and enjoy the serenity and the breathtaking changing light.
