Welcome to your family-friendly lakeside retreat- Where the Sidewalk Ends! Our newly renovated home is perfectly positioned seconds from the gateway to Verona Beach State Park’s sandy shores, playgrounds, splash pads, and more. Nearby Sylvan Beach will provide fun for everyone with an amusement park, restaurants, bars, and shopping. Enjoy direct access to Oneida Lake, renowned for its world-class fishing and breathtaking sunsets, providing a picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable stay. The space The main floor has an open floor plan connecting living room with fireplace, kitchen and dining room. Downstairs you will also find the king size bedroom, a remote workspace / desk in the dining area and a full bath with laundry inside. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware to whip up a home cooked meal as well as wine glasses, blender, outdoor dish-ware and both a Keurig (with pods) and drip coffee maker (with filters & coffee). The 2nd floor has a queen size bedroom, another bedroom with a twin bunkbed and pull out trundle and a full bath. Accessed by a spiral staircase the 3rd floor is one spacious open room with two full beds and a sectional sofa. There is plenty of room both inside and out for our guests with younger children. We also provide a Pack n Play, high chair, booster seat, baby bath and children’s dinnerware so you can leave yours home! All TV’s are smart TV’s so guests can bring their own favorite subscriptions with them to enjoy. We also have a selection of children & family board and card games to challenge each other with. In the shed you'll find outdoor kid's toys, lawn games, two adult bikes, two youth bikes, two youth helmets, life vests and paddles for the tandem kayak, and usually enough firewood for one fire. The backyard is fenced in, has a gas grill w/ propane and a fire pit for s’mores. The tandem kayak and bikes are used at each guests own risk and under the supervision of a responsible adult. There is enough parking space for four cars. Want to bring along your pet? Please mention it prior to booking as we do have certain restrictions. Also, there is a one-time “pet cleaning fee” of $100 per stay. We ask that pets are always attended by a responsible adult, are leashed when outside the house or fenced yard and waste is picked up promptly and completely. Open the fence gate and walk onto the wooded trails of our neighbor, Verona Beach State Park, where admission is free when walking in. While there, enjoy the sandy beach, swimming, a playground and more! Take time to explore the park or hike the 13 miles of trails throughout the park. The front porch is a great spot to sit under the shade trees and catch the sunset over Oneida Lake directly across the road. Verona Beach is central to many other Central NY destinations such as Turning Stone Casino (15 minutes), The Wild Animal Park (15 minutes), downtown Syracuse (30 minutes), The JMA Wireless Dome (35 minutes) as well as day trips to The Finger Lakes and Green Lakes State Park. Check out our “Sylvan & Verona Beach Guidebook” for links to all the local attractions, leisure sports, groceries, supplies, water sports rentals, restaurants and even rainy day activities nearby. Guest access Guests have full use of the parking, yard, house and shed. The garage is not accessible to guests. Other things to note You will likely want to access Oneida Lake off the sandy beach at Verona Beach State Park by way of the path just steps away from our front porch. Additionally, directly across the street from the house you'll see an open pathway to the lake which you can use for quick access to wade in the water, launch kayaks, snowmobile on and off the lake for ice fishing or get a fuller view of the sunset. This access runs very close to, and in between, two of our neighbor's houses so we ask that you never leave any of your gear here unattended or have gatherings in the shared area. Please follow a “carry in, carry out” policy when using the access point and be extra respectful of our neighbors privacy.
