Description

Your balcony overlooks the heart of Birkdale Village's Plaza from three floors up — the Lake Norman area's most walkable, energetic open-air destination. Steps from 20+ shops, restaurants, a movie theater, and live events nearly year-round. Spacious, work-ready, and genuinely well-stocked. Best suited for guests who love being where the action is. The space Step out onto the balcony and you're above it all — literally. Three floors up, looking straight down into Birkdale Village's tree-lined Plaza, where the neighborhood gathers for Friday night concerts, seasonal markets, and everyday life worth watching. Inside, the living area is set up to genuinely relax in: Smart TV with cable, streaming services, and a retro gaming console for the moments when you want to unplug without actually unplugging. There's a dedicated desk workspace that makes it easy to stay productive if you're here for work — or a great surface for spreading out a meal. The bedroom is a proper retreat: a king-sized, 12-inch memory foam mattress, a ceiling fan for full airflow control, and a white noise machine with multiple sound options — handy when the Plaza is at its liveliest. Down the hall, the bathroom features a generous soaking tub shower. The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking: French press, kettle, blender, rice cooker, pots and pans, baking sheets, a full knife set, and all the glassware you'd need. Community amenities include a resort-style pool with sundeck, poolside grilling stations and cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center, a resident lounge, and access to walking and biking trails. A queen-sized air mattress with linens is available, accommodating up to 4 guests total. One thing to know: The apartment sits above another residence, so we ask that guests be mindful of impact noise indoors — running, jumping, or high-energy play. It's a great fit for adults and calm families; it may not be the best match for very young or energetic kids. If that's your group, we're glad to point you toward other nearby homes that work better. Extended stay discounts apply automatically — the longer you stay, the better the rate. Guest access Birkdale Village isn't just a shopping center — it's a 52-acre open-air district where the sidewalks stay busy, restaurants spill onto patios, and something is almost always going on. The Plaza at its center hosts over 100 free events per year: Friday night live music under the oaks (April through October), a Sunday Farmer's Market (second Sundays, March through October), seasonal festivals, outdoor movie screenings, holiday celebrations, and more. You're not staying near Birkdale Village — you're staying inside it. Shopping: J. Crew, Kendra Scott, Williams-Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, lululemon, Sephora, Barnes & Noble, and dozens of local boutiques — all within a few minutes' walk. Dining: Fin & Fino (upscale seafood tapas, one of the area's most-loved restaurants), Red Rocks Cafe (steaks, seafood, and a standout Sunday brunch), North Italia, Midwood Smokehouse, bartaco, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, eeZ Fusion & Sushi, Foxcroft Wine Co., Bonefish Grill, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, The Cheesecake Factory, and more — with new spots opening regularly. Entertainment: Regal Birkdale 16 movie theater, live music in the Plaza, and a year-round event calendar worth checking before you arrive. Beyond Birkdale: Boat / Kayak / Jet Ski Rentals — 10 min Downtown Charlotte, Bank of America Stadium, Spectrum Center — 20 min Charlotte Motor Speedway — 20 min US National Whitewater Center — 22 min Charlotte Douglas Airport — 25 min Lake Norman State Park — 30 min Carowinds Amusement Park — 30 min Asheville — 2 hrs 2 minutes from I-77 Exit 25. Other things to note *Access & Parking: The unit is on the 3rd floor from street level, but just one flight of stairs when entering from the parking garage. Free covered garage parking is included. *No Smoking: This is a no-smoking property — indoors, on the balcony, and throughout the community. *Background Check: Our community requires a brief background check for the primary guest. Instructions and a link will be sent in your Welcome Message after booking — it's a quick process. *Streaming Services Included: Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, and Apple TV+. *Welcome Pack: Your stay comes stocked with a curated set of essentials — toiletries, kitchen supplies, and a few extras — designed to cover your first week comfortably. For longer stays, everything you'd need is a short walk away at the shops right below. Kitchen Appliances: Toaster, French press, electric kettle, blender, rice cooker, baking sheets, mixing bowls, pots and pans, full knife set, and a complete set of glassware.
