In the heart of the village

The Gables is tucked away just steps from the main street of this charming village at the gateway to the Highlands. It's a great spot to recharge after hiking the many paths, golfing, or visiting the local attractions. Easily explore Perthshire, Stirling and beyond from this perfectly located base. About an hour by car from Glasgow or Edinburgh, it is also served by local and regional buses. There are shops and places to eat right here and the larger town of Crieff is just 7 miles/11 km east. The space The Gables is an 1850s stone building lovingly modernized. It's our holiday home and when we can't be in Comrie we are happy to share it with others visiting this delightful conservation village. There is a compact kitchen and a comfy living/dining room. One bedroom has a super king bed. You'll find two double beds in the second room. The bedrooms and family bathroom are upstairs so The Gables is not suitable if you want to avoid stairs. The bathroom has a tub and a separate shower. There's a wee loo downstairs too. High-speed internet makes it easy to work offsite, keep in touch with home or stream to your own devices. We also have Freesat available on a large screen TV. The Gables has parking for one small/medium car and there are two free car parks within a very short walk. An EV charging point is offered in two public car parks very close by. There is no outdoor seating area. Guest access You'll have exclusive use of The Gables. The parking area is best suited to medium/small vehicles as the access is off a narrow lane. The parking area is shared with the neighbouring property so please park only in the designated spot. There is no outdoor seating space but St. Kessog's Square is next door and provides outdoor seating and may have additional parking. Other things to note Our licence does not permit any parties or noisy activities late into the night. The Gables is a terraced cottage and so shares a wall with our neighbours and there are other homes close by. You may see the neighbours making their way along the path to the parking or sitting on their patio - with or without their friendly, but shy, medium-size dog. There is no smoking or vaping on the property inside or outside. The cottage has the typical coved ceilings that restrict headroom on the edges of the bedrooms.
