In the summer your can walk a half block to the lake with your inner-tube to float the afternoon away, or spend the day at Jones Island beach on Grayslake which includes, sand volleyball, kids play area, swimming area, BBQ, Kayak launch and fishing piers. Walk to the weekly farmers market, enjoy outdoor patios at the many local restaurants, grab a root beer float at Dogs and Suds drive in. In the Winter, bring your ice skates for groomed figure skating and ice hockey, bring your ice shanty for exceptional ice fishing, bring your cross country skies to ski Grayslake. Libations afterwards are plentiful at the local breweries, bars and restaurant establishments. Everything you need is out your front door waking distance to the Village, Lake and Metra Stations.
