Available on weekends during the Winter Holidays and the last half of Easter 2026! Deep inside a fjord, up a valley in a fantastic mountain area you will find a lofted log cabin where you can put away the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy magnificent nature. Surrounded by mountain wreath you are only minutes to walk from the ski lift, 10 minutes by car from Sauda city center, fishing in the fjord, hiking in the mountains or just enjoy the mountain air from the terrace and a good cup of fire coffee. The space The cabin is easily accessible just off Svandalen Ski Center in Sauda. A lazy warm log cabin built in 2014 with great comfort gives you the really good feeling of being on a cabin trip in the mountains, but with all the amenities one would expect for a nice holiday trip. A great starting point for a family vacation or weekend trip, either for an active vacation and outdoor life, or just to relax and enjoy the mountain air. The cabin is located in an area that is a year-round destination where local offers are adapted to the season one is in. The main entrance and key box are located on the back of the cabin. The ground floor consists of entrance, living room, bathroom and kitchen. The cabin does not have a TV, and is a proven choice from the owner. The cabin, on the other hand, has internet via fiber so that you can easily connect and watch TV via your own iPad, phone or the like. By the stairs up to the 2nd floor there is a shelf with various board games, books and magazines that guests can borrow during their stay. The second floor consists of 3 bedrooms as well as a hallway area also furnished with a berth (bed). In total, there are 2 double beds and 3 single beds in the cabin. The master bedroom has an exit to a private balcony and a seating area inside the bedroom. In other words, the cabin has sleeping space for 7 people, but considering the size, it is probably best suited for a family with small children rather than, for example, 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are not included in the rental price and must be brought, or can be rented for NOK 200,- per person per week. NOK 200,- per person is also a minimum rental if a tenant is shorter than a week. Large terrace on the front of the cabin with fire pan and associated equipment ready for use. Large iron pot and frying pans for the fire pit are on top of the fridge in the kitchen. Backpacks are not included in the rent and are paid separately by agreement, if desired. The landlord can ensure that the firewood is ready when guests arrive. Price per opened bag of wood: NOK 200 The cabin has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Kitchen is fully equipped with both pots and pans to use in kitchen inside the cabin, and for use on fireplace. Plates, cutlery and glasses for 12 people. Sauda and surrounding area is an eldorado for Norwegian traditional food, farm food and local food traditions. For an additional price and by appointment, you can get to the cottage with the family where the host has prepared a larger or smaller selection of local produce. This is agreed upon according to your taste, but can be local jigsaws, sausages, deer, grouse, smoke scissors, trout, cliff fish, or other local produce by season. Other things to note It is only 7-8 minutes to drive down to Sauda city center with grocery stores, clothing stores, liquor store, café, cinema, swimming facilities and more. Many hiking options in the area, whether you just start walking from the cabin, or if you drive a few minutes you will find hikes suitable for everyone.
