Our beautifully renovated two bedroomed gite with a private 8m x 4m pool is situated in the heart of the French countryside in beautiful south west France. It is located in a small hamlet but is within easy reach of the lovely market towns of Melle, Sauze entre Bois, Chef Boutonne, Ruffec and Civray with all the amenities: Supermarkets, boulangeries, pharmacies, bars and restaurants and weekly markets. The space Our beautiful detached farmhouse dates from the 1800's and has been renovated and refurbished by ourselves to a high standard creating a home from home experience that we would be happy to stay in ourselves. We have sympathetically renovated the gite to maintain its rustic charm but to also give our guests a cosy and homely environment. It has a large fully equipped kitchen which includes a large range cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a large breakfast bar/island In the living room there are 2 sofas, bean bags, English and French TV and a lovely wood burner for cosy Winter evenings. On the first floor there is a mezzanine with a TV to watch DVD's, a large sofa and games/books to entertain the children. Outside by the pool there are sunbeds and a covered seating area with a BBQ for outdoor dining in the lovely summer evenings. The property is comprised of 2 bedrooms, a large lounge and separate kitchen, dining room, mezzanine with childrens games and a large sofa bed, and stunning bathroom with large shower and bath. Other amenities include TV with english and french TV, DVD player, books, games, Petanque court and large field for those wishing to have a kick-around! BRAND NEW INGROUND 8m x 4m PRIVATE POOL. The pool is exclusive to the gite for the duration of your stay. (Please note: The pool is available from the beginning June to the end of September and is unheated) Guest access Location: We are conveniently situated with easy access to the major N10 route which runs from through Poitiers to Bordeaux we have good access to 4 regional airports. These are Limoges approx 1 hour 15 minutes, La Rochelle approx 1 hour, Poitiers approx 45 miniutes and Bordeaux under two hours. We have lots of lovely towns within 10 to 20 minutes drive with lots of lovely restaurants, boulangeries and weekly markets Other things to note Although we are in the beautiful French countryside we are within easy access of some lovely towns and larger cities with all the attractions. Futuroscope and the new Aquascope is also approximately 45 minutes drive.
