Description

Fully refurbished villa, new to vacation rental pool. Welcome to your dream beach getaway at Seven Seas Bliss! Nestled along the pristine shores of Seven Seas Beach, our charming 3-bedroom penthouse villa promises a perfect blend of comfort and luxury for your tropical escape. Just steps to Seven Seas Beach, the villa is nestled between two seaside national parks and walking distance to the bioluminescent bay kayak village and Cayo Icacos water taxi pier. Other things to note Nearby Restaurants Los Croabas neighborhood is known as the culinary center of north eastern Puerto Rico. You are staying a 5 minute drive from a dozen of Puerto Rico's best eateries. Reservations are recommended and check days and hours of operation as this varies. Some of our favorites are: Costa Mia – 3 minute walk from front gate (turn right up the side walk). Open daily serving brunch, lunch and dinner. There is a walk up bar should you need take away food or drinks for the beach. Rincon Del Faro – Excellent Puerto Rican cuisine including mofongo, seafood and meat dishes. Exit gate turn right and walk about 8 minutes up the street. The restaurant is on the left side of the road. Rincon Del Faro will prepare food for take out. Laugna Grande – More excellent Puerto Rican cuisine and a favorite of community residents. Exit gate turn right and walk about 5 minutes up the street. The restaurant is on the right side of the road. Chichaitos Barra Rústica Cultural – A great inauthentic Mexican bar restaurant with a menu that puts a Puerto Rican style to Mexican dishes. Chichaitos has a wide variety of tequilas and the fish tacos are great. Exit gate turn right and walk about 15 minutes up the street (or take a short drive). The restaurant is on the left side of the road and a bit farther up than Google maps shows. Las Vistas Café – Excellent food, excellent views, serving brunch, lunch and dinner. The owner is Gladys and she will serve you the islands best Puerto Rican soul food Los Croabas neighborhood has to offer. Search Las Vistas Café on google maps; a 15 minute walk or short drive away. La Estacion – Simply the best Nuyorican BBQ on the Island. Do not miss this place and make a reservation for Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings. Located on main road; make a left at the front gate and about a mile up on the right side of the road. Seriously, don't miss this place if you're here over a weekend El Pescador – Vey good outdoor restaurant serving traditional east island dishes - lobster with cilantro rice is excellent. Located in Las Croabas Seafront Park. One of Mike & Ivelisse's favorite places for date night. OKEAH Modern Kitchen & Bar – Newly opened steak and seafood house. They serve up fresh Caribbean lobster, seafood dishes and a very good ribeye steak. Turn left at the gate and drive 2.0 miles; the restaurant is on the right side of the road and has a Neptune's Spear logo. Reservations are a must. Sabalos Marina Grill – Located in Puerto Chico Marina complex. Sabalos serves superb smash burgers. Turn left at the gate and drive 2.1 miles; the marina is on the left side of the road. Pull up to the front gate and tell the guard you're going to Sabalos Kalizo Seafood Bar & Grill – Outdoor eatery serving seafood, chicken and steak dishes. This is an informal eatery but with very high quality food. Turn left at gate, about 1/2 mile up the road on the right side. Don Fausto Pizza & Grill Restaurant – Located in the Renaissance Villa Marina complex. Don Fausto has excellent pizza and a decent grill menu. Turn left at the gate, drive 2.7 miles, turn left just past the marina where you see boats dry stacked just near the road; the restaurant is there. Make your way to the marina's front gate where the guard will direct you to the restaurant. This place is tricky to find but well worth the effort. Café Playero – Full assortment of Puerto Rican dishes. Very good fish tacos and coconut arepas. Located in Las Croabas Seafront Park Restaurante El Yate – Fine dining with views of the marinas and offshore islands. Located a 5 minute drive up the road to Puerto Chico area. Turn left at the gate, drive 2.4 miles and the restaurant is on the left side of the road. Self Catering & Grocery Stores in Fajardo The local supermarkets will have everything you need including beer, wine & alcohol. In addition to Puerto Rican specialty foods, you will find most items you are accustomed to seeing in the United States. Pueblo Supermarket - Monte Brisas Shopping Center (3 miles away) Ralphs Supermarket - Carr. #3 Esq, C. Igualdad (4 miles away) Walmart - Fajardo Plaza Shopping Mall (5 miles away) – offers online shopping with curbside pick up   Local Activities You couldn’t have picked a better spot on the island to stay as you are located very nearby some of the most frequented visitor destinations. El Yunque National Rainforest The national forest is approximately 20 minute drive from the property. Parking inside the national forest is limited and a maximum number of cars can be accommodated at any one time. Once the limit is reached the entrance operates on a "one out & one in". On clear days you can see the northeastern half of Puerto Rico, Culebra, Vieques and Saint Thomas. There are many relatively easy hiking trails through the rainforest and it's a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. Vereda Angelito (Angelito trailhead) is located on PR988 and can be accessed via PR 991 from Luquillo. This is a short, interesting and easy walk through the rainforest to the Mameyes river. You will mix with locals as this is a favorite place to cool off in fresh water. El Yunque Waterfall Tour Many tour operator's offer a guided half day hike into the rainforest to visit waterfalls and natural slides. The hike up the river gorge is relatively difficult so make sure your group is up for the physical challenge. Plan to get muddy and wet! Ivelisse has "post mud hike" towels in the laundry room cabinets for your showers after you return to the villa. We recommend showering off (while still in your shoes and clothes) at the showers in the corner of the parking lot when you return. The rainforest soil is orange and very fine. Playa Escondido (Secret Beach) A short walk through away is Playa Escondido, the not-so-secret beach. Exit the pedestrian gate and walk across the street to the Seven Seas Beach Park. Walk all the way to the West end of the beach where you will find a trail into the woods (if you are unsure, ask anyone for directions). Follow the trail to a tee, turn right and follow it past the ocean opening and through the mangrove forest. Playa Escondido is at the end of the trail (about a 20 minute walk) and offers some great swimming, snorkeling and beach relaxation. Luquillo Kioskos The Luquillo Kioskos are located adjacent to the Luquillo Beach Park and about a 15 minute drive from the property. The 30+ kiosks are a mixture of restaurants, take away and bars. The kioskos serve a variety of authentic Puerto Rican food in a vibrant atmosphere. Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve If you take any nature tour during your stay, please take this one. The guided tour includes an open air shuttle ride through the natural reserve with stops at the mangrove forest, pebble beach and Rincon del Faro (lighthouse). The views from the lighthouse are spectacular and you will be able to look down to see your villa and the surrounding beaches. Tarpon Fishing There are several charter companies running tarpon fishing trips in the backwaters of Isla Verde (near San Juan airport). The tarpon are decades old fish who have been caught (and released) dozens of times. Pack a cooler and have a good time. Scuba Diving Sea Ventures Pro Dive Center is located in Puerto Del Ray marina, about a 20 minute drive from your villa. They offer two tank dives for certified divers, courses for beginning divers and PADI "Discover Suba Diving" classes for those interested in giving it a try. Trips are run with dive masters with groups of around 6 or 8 per dive master. Dive locations are a short boat ride to places such as Palominos Island Reef and Cayo Diablo Reef. We dive often with Sea Ventures, especially when we have family visiting from the mainland. Cayo Icacos Icacos quay is a small uninhabited island about three miles offshore from Las Croabas neighborhood. The quay is located in a protected marine reserve. There are lots of tour operators offering snorkeling / beach excursions to Icacos. Some tour operators leave from Villa Marina Yacht Harbor (5 minute drive away). East Island Excursions leave from Puerto Del Ray marina. Most tour operators offer the same basic experience; catamaran ride out, snorkeling and a visit to the beach. If you hire a private boat capitan, please be sure to verify he is US Coast Guard licensed (6 pax license) before you make a booking. You may also hire a water taxi for a self guided visit to Icacos. Pack a cooler with drinks and lunch, take the beach gear and head to the Kayak Village. There is free parking and a water taxi dock. Several captains operate out to Icacos which is about a 10 minute boat ride. They will drop you off right on the beach and pick you up at a pre-arranged time. We often go snorkeling and scuba diving at Icacos. Bio Luminescent Bay (Laguna Grande) The bio bay is located within Cabezas de San Juan Natural reserve. Many licensed companies offer guided kayak tours from the Kayak Village located at the Las Croabas Seafront Park. Tour companies offer a night time paddle through the mangrove forest into the Laguna Grande where bioluminescent algae activate from the motion of the kayaks, paddles and fish! The Kayak Village is a 5 minute drive from the property. During the daytime, Laugna Grande can be observed from the "fisherman's path" which is a 15 minute walk up the East beach (past Costa Mia restaurant). Walk up the beach about a hundred yards, turn right into the marked pathway through the trees and turn left on the pavement. Walk about a quarter mile up the pavement and the bio bay is on the right side through the trees. Kayak Rental Pirates Snorkel Shop operates most days. Their tent is located on the beachfront walkway just past Costa Mia. They offer double kayak rentals at hourly rates. The bay in front of the complex is safe for kayaking inside of the breaking waves. Pack a cooler and remember to take the snorkeling gear and sunblock! Mimosa Pool is up the east beach side just before the rock outcrops on the beach and is a great place to stop. Look out for turtles as there are many residents in the seagrass areas. Vieques & Culebra Ferry The ferry port is located at Rosevert Roads and is about a 30 minute drive away. Ferry tickets can be booked online, however online tickets are limited and sell out quickly. Tickets can also be purchased at the ferry port ticket office, but again tickets can sell out fast especially on weekends and holidays. To be assured of tickets for day trips, please book online well in advance or visit the ferry port ticket office a few days prior to your trip. East Island Excursions operate catamaran day trips to Culebra and Vieques. Boats leave from Puerto Del Rey Marina and the tours last approximately 6 hours. This is the easy way to see the Spanish Virgin islands!
