Warm and welcoming holiday accommodation on the edge of Trosssachs National Park. Just a five minute drive into the heart of coastal Dunoon with local attractions including traditional pubs, shops, cafés, and restaurants. Heronlea Cottage has two levels, furnished with a Scottish flair. The upper floor features a spacious and inviting living room, with comfortable sofas, a dining table and window views boasting beautiful woodland views. For entertainment there is free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, live streaming, games and books. The kitchen is located on the ground floor, well equipped complete with a small diner table for up to four guests. For the convenience of longer stays there is a washing machine and clothes airer. Downstairs there are two well appointed bedrooms with picturesque window views, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, where you may be lucky enough to see deer as you open the curtains of a morning! The family bathroom is located on the ground floor with a walk-in shower cubicle. The toilet is separate. Please note the cottage has access to a wetland pond, children must be supervised at all times. The Holy Loch Marina and the local pub are within 30 minute walking distance. Heronlea Cottage is located only 1.5 miles from the township of Dunoon, offering a selection of coffee shops, craft shops, pubs and restaurants. An ideal base to explore the Cowal Peninsula and the West Coast of Scotland for walks, cycling, fishing, outdoor adventure and visiting the many surrounding attractions. Or you may simply take time out to enjoy the ambience of this welcoming holiday home. Close by is the historic Kilmun Mausoleum, Benmore Botanic Gardens, Pucks Glen and Argyll Forest Park. The area is one big outdoor playground. Explore further afield to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and Argyll's Secret Coast, or take the ferry to the Isle of Bute to visit Mount Stuart, or visit historic Inveraray. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland. Argyll has a collection of some of Scotland's best forests. From scenic lochs and epic glens, rich in wildlife and history, there’s so much to see and do. Glasgow is just over an hour away via the Western Ferries or two hours by road via Loch Lomond.
