Heronlea Cottage is under new ownership for 2024, an inviting two bedroom cottage nestled in a picturesque Scottish setting. Warm and welcoming holiday accommodation on the edge of Trosssachs National Park. Fantastic for walks, wildlife enthusiasts, adventure or for those looking to experience peace and tranquillity surrounded by woodland gardens. Just a five minute drive into the heart of coastal Dunoon with local attractions including traditional pubs, shops, cafés, and restaurants. The space Filled with home comforts offering a unique holiday experience in this glorious location. Perfect for small families, couples or for a romantic escape for two. Heronlea Cottage has two levels, furnished with a Scottish flair. The upper floor features a spacious and inviting living room, with comfortable sofas, a dining table and window views boasting beautiful woodland views. For entertainment there is free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, live streaming, games and books. The kitchen is located on the ground floor, well equipped complete with a small diner table for up to four guests. For the convenience of longer stays there is a washing machine and clothes airer. Downstairs there are two well appointed bedrooms with picturesque window views, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, where you may be lucky enough to see deer as you open the curtains of a morning! The family bathroom is located on the ground floor with a walk-in shower cubicle. The toilet is separate. Ground Floor: Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, diner table seating four Bedroom 1: Double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, hand basin, garden and woodland views Bedroom 2: Single beds x two, bedside table, wardrobe, hand basin, garden and woodland views Bathroom: Walk-in shower cubicle. Separate toilet. First Floor: Living room: Freeview TV 50" with fire stick for streaming, games and books. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Dogs welcome, two small well behaved dogs. Please request at time of booking. Dogs on leads. Free of charge. The spacious woodland garden offers the most stunning views. Enjoy leisurely walks around the beautiful local area and be sure to keep an eye out for the abundance of wildlife that can be spotted here. A very special place where you can experience woodland walks and trails on your doorstep. There is even a wetland pond to admire, Cowal Peninsula has miles of unspoilt countryside with fantastic hill, woodland and coastal walks to enjoy. Nature lovers will be spoilt for choice with abundant wildlife to see. and many Nature and Forestry reserves offering walking and cycling routes. Please note the cottage has access to a wetland pond, children must be supervised at all times. The Holy Loch Marina and the local pub are within 30 minute walking distance. Heronlea Cottage is located only 1.5 miles from the township of Dunoon, offering a selection of coffee shops, craft shops, pubs and restaurants. An ideal base to explore the Cowal Peninsula and the West Coast of Scotland for walks, cycling, fishing, outdoor adventure and visiting the many surrounding attractions. Or you may simply take time out to enjoy the ambience of this welcoming holiday home. Close by is the historic Kilmun Mausoleum, Benmore Botanic Gardens, Pucks Glen and Argyll Forest Park. The area is one big outdoor playground. Explore further afield to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and Argyll's Secret Coast, or take the ferry to the Isle of Bute to visit Mount Stuart, or visit historic Inveraray. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland. Argyll has a collection of some of Scotland's best forests. From scenic lochs and epic glens, rich in wildlife and history, there’s so much to see and do. Glasgow is just over an hour away via the Western Ferries or two hours by road via Loch Lomond. Private entrance, internal staircase to upper living room, 5 steps to landing, then 9 steps to upper floor. All bedrooms on ground level. Two small well behaved dogs welcome per booking.
