Originally built as a refuge for the man who carved the levadas into the rock during the 19th century, the house was later repurposed into a forest outpost and shelter. Today, transformed into a serene café that caters to nature lovers, and into a refined rejuvenation of an elegant rural accommodation. Offering four individual bedrooms and a cozy communal space with a private balcony, it unveils mesmerizing views of the valley's splendor. There is an additional exterior family room (annex) that borders the outdoor terrace. Guest access Guest entry can be via the reception/cafe lounge into the bedroom hallway, or from the opposite side of the property (NE door) with private access to the balcony and living room door. Other things to note Because we are in a unique natural location: - Wi-Fi/Internet service is limited - There is limited parking space around the perimeter of the house, we can only guarantee space for 2 cars on a full stay basis. If we have 3 or 4 rooms occupied, we can only allow additional spaces around the perimeter of the house between 7:00 pm and 9:00 am (limited to 1 car per room/group). - The municipal van is available to all visitors as an alternative to the 35 min walk between the top of Rabaçal (parking area) and the house.
