Tlacolula Sunday Market, Stay at Casa Las Azucenas

My family and I love to welcome people and share our cultural immersion experience at our family home in Tlacolula, just 30 min east of Oax city. Our town is famously known for its Sunday Market, but there is so much more to do here. Just come our way! On weekends, we open our native corn eatery at the front part of the complex! Bienvenidxs The space I decided to turn my parent's dream home into a Bed and Breakfast. The stay at the house would be ideal for travelers looking to spend a weekend or more in a relaxing area full of tourists attractions but it's also an ideal location for those seeking an alternative immersion experience. Oaxaca offers various attractions year-round so you are welcome to come anytime. Casa Las Azucenas is a spanish hacienda style home with all doors are located facing a central patio and is decorated with local art and bright colors. We have a total of 2 bedrooms we rent on Airbnb. These rooms share an entrance and are separated by a wall and a short hallway. Bedroom 1 is quite spacious: it has a single bed, a bunk bed: double bed at the bottom and a single bed at the top, a couch and a flat screen apple tv with Netflix! Bedroom 2 has a full size bed and closet space. We only accept one reservation at a time so if you are a party of 1-2 you’ll be staying in Bedroom 1 and be able to use Bedroom 2’s living room and tv. For parties 3-4 you’ll be sharing using both rooms and have 4 beds available to sleep individually in them. We have one spacious bathroom with running water (hot & cold), a nice shower/bathtub and a smaller bathroom out towards the front. It has a more rustic vibe and is also available to shower in with hot water. We also have a washing machine, fans and closet space. This is a wonderful and diverse place which I call home and I would like to share it with the world. I studied abroad all over the world and backpacked while in college using Airbnb,so I know what travelers seek. This location is the best of both worlds: the small town immersion experience and the vibrant City of Oaxaca a short distance away. I have spent all my summers here in Tlacolula since I was a kid so I guarantee you will love your time and experiences here! I am easily available or the house manager to greet guests upon arrival and to make sure guests are comfortable. Guest access At Casa Las Azucenas we offer the comfort of your own home. As our guest you will have access to the entire house: kitchen, dinning room, living room, and patio area. You are free to cook and use the kitchenware. We also have bikes if you're interested in borrowing them, just ask us ahead of time to get them prepped. During your stay I am easily available mornings and evenings. During the day I am working in the office or out running a tour. If I am away during your visit, my husband or house manager will be there to greet you and to make sure you are comfortable. Other things to note I run local tours that may be of interest. I am working on setting up listing on Airbnb Experiences. It focuses more on rural attractions while taking a cultural education approach. I can take you to different attractions as many or as little as you may like. I am proud of my indigenous zapotec roots and love to share this culture with the world. We give a portion of the cost to everyone we visit, we try to help our community in anyway possible.
