In the heart of Maplecrest’s Big Hollow, nestled at the base of Windham High Peak, next to the Batavia Kill; a double A-frame cabin awaits. The space Our property sits on 3 acres with the Batavia Kill defining the rear border. There’s 1 acre of lawn and 175 feet of flat gravel driveway and parking area. Serenity comes quickly sitting on the porch next to the solo stove as the sun sinks behind the Camels Hump, all while listening to the sounds of the nearby stream. Inside stunning panoramic views of the Blackhead Mountain Range fill the windows of this unique and quaint A-frame. There’s a small dining area/kitchen equipped with a 4 burner oven and dishwasher. A full size refrigerator is located in the back hall across from the ski equipment nook. In the sun-drenched living room there is a full size futon, sofa, and cozy seating areas for reading, watching a movie on the projector screen or simply gazing out the expansive windows. The loft bedroom has a Tempurpedic queen mattress and looks out into the branches of three massive pine trees, making it feel like you’re sleeping in a treehouse. Skiers, hikers and bikers will love being ideally located 7 miles from Windham Mountain and 10 miles from Hunter Mountain, with multiple trailheads that connect to the Windham Blackhead Mountain Range Wilderness area less than 5 minutes away. Our place is perfect for a couple or 3-4 close friends or relatives. It’s not ideal for toddlers.
