Description

The Little Cabin with private sauna is situated on an acreage and designed for privacy and comfort. Fully equipped kitchen with an oven/stove and good-sized fridge. BBQ available. Bright and spacious bathroom with shower. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. We have happy, free roaming dogs and a cat. Hiking trails, lakes and ocean beaches are nearby. Madeira Park and Marina are a 6km drive away where you’ll find great restaurants plus all your shopping needs. The space If you’re looking for a quiet place in the forest our Little Cabin with a outdoor sauna, may be the place for you. It’s very private though located next to our home, studio and workshop. There’s an easy accessible parking spot plus a privacy fence and good size deck with lounging and deck chairs looking out to a shared big backyard with a pond. The Little Cabin is situated on our acreage next to Crown land with close by hiking and mountain bike trails. There are lovely views of the forest and the backyard that we welcome visiting wildlife. Guest access We have a lovely large backyard with a pond that guests are invited to enjoy. Note that we have a tenant whom we share the backyard with we ask that guests respect his home but the backyard is big and there’s a lot of room to play with your dog if needed. The front area with the gardens, workshop and studios are private spaces. Guests are invited to make an appointment to view the studio/gallery, we are happy to talk about our art-making practices. Other things to note We live in a quiet area on an acreage located on the edge of Crown Land, which means we have all sorts of wildlife that pass through. It’s part of the charm of living here but it’s important to be aware of the wild animals that visit here. We get an assortment of birds, deer, elk plus occasionally bears or two. Our cabin and home are in a good position that it’s fine to observe from a safe distance. But this means to be Bear-Aware and be careful not to leave food in vehicles or outside on deck when you’re out and about plus cleaning up after using the BBQ. There’s a small extra sofa bed next to the queen bed for one if needed. We also live with a cat and three friendly dogs, especially once they get to know you. One belongs to our tenant. They do bark sometimes not only when necessary, we do keep them in at night and they will not disturb your sleep, they might briefly bark in the morning when we let them out. They’re great at alerting us to anything out of the ordinary. We are a 6 km drive to Maderia Park where you'll find all your shopping needs. There are Japanese and Mexican restaurants plus an excellent burger stand. We also have a wonderful spa at the Painted Boat resort if you need a massage, pedicure or just relax in the beautiful outdoor spa garden with a sauna, waterfall hot tub and cool saltwater pool. A real luxury treat. Registration Details Municipal registration number: H332043266 Provincial registration number: H332043266
