Stay in a real, historic gem in Henningsvær

Welcome to one of Henningsvær's oldest and most charming rorbuer! Built by my great-grandfather around 1850, this protected cabin has housed fishermen during the traditional Lofoten fishing. Now you can experience the tranquility and charm yourself - with a private dock and your own sea staircase for the morning bath! The house is located in the peaceful part of Henningsvær, but only a stone's throw from cafés, galleries and activities. Rental price depends on whether you want the main floor (4 persons) or the whole cabin (6-8 persons). Minimum rental period is 3 days. The space If you rent the cabin, you have the whole place: a large private quay around the whole building, your own sea staircase and complete tranquility - with the sea as your closest neighbor. There is direct access right out on the quay with possibilities for morning baths from their own sea staircase for those who dry it. For safety reasons, small children must not travel alone on the quay. Children must always be accompanied by an adult. The house consists of two floors: the main floor and the lower floor (the boathouse). You choose whether you want to rent only the main floor - or both floors, depending on how many you are. The main floor can accommodate up to 4 guests, divided into 2 bedrooms. This makes the floor perfect for a small family or two couples who want a comfortable and pleasant stay. The basement (boathouse) accommodates an additional 2 bedrooms, each with 2 beds. If you rent this in addition, you will get a total of 6 or 8 beds – ideal for larger groups, multiple families or a group of friends traveling together. Are you a group of 4 friends who want separate bedrooms? Then you register 8 people in the booking. Then you will automatically have access to all four bedrooms, including the two extra bedrooms on the lower floor. You pay for the number of bedrooms you need. The price varies if you want to rent only the main floor with two bedrooms with space for 4 or the basement with up to two bedrooms in addition (6 or 8 beds). Please contact us if you are unsure what is best for your group - we are happy to help! The main floor consists of kitchen with open dining room/living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The living room is furnished with a sofa, table, armchairs and TV. In the corner of the living room there is a nice stove where you can fire with wood if you feel like it. The kitchen is equipped with; > Dishwasher - Induction cooktop - Oven with most functions (e.g. hot air, steam, grill, pizza function, etc.) - Fridge/freezer - Coffee maker - Kettle, hand blender, toaster, as well as various kitchen equipment you need The bathroom is tiled with washbasin and shower. Washing machine for clothes. The bedrooms on the main floor are equipped with good double beds (150x200) and wardrobes with good storage space. Wi-Fi is installed. In the basement (boathouse) there are two bedrooms, hallway and bathroom. Also here, the bedrooms are equipped with good beds (2x90 cm in each room) for the best possible comfort. In the hallway there is a built-in wardrobe with good storage space. Please note that this is an old and charming house, so the ceiling height in the basement is lower than normal ceiling height. The bathroom is tiled with a sink and shower. A set of bed linen and towels per guest included. Guest access When you rent the cabin, you get the whole place to yourself – including the quay facility. There is a private entrance to the main floor, and a private entrance to the lower floor from the quay. The cabin is literally in the fjord, so here you are right down by the water's edge. A perfect place for quiet days and nice evenings by the sea. Other things to note Here's other useful information you might want to know before booking: Parking You can drive up to the cabin and unload luggage, but for the sake of neighbors we want the car to be parked in the residents' parking about 30 meters away. Parking for one car is included, but it is important that you send me the car number so that you do not get a parking ticket. If you have more cars, I can book it for you. Parking costs NOK 360 per stay per car (up to one month) Electric car charging is available by appointment for our guests. Price: NOK 5 per kWh. Garbage disposal We do not have our own garbage can inside by the arch. Garbage and empty containers must therefore be disposed of in the containers by the pier in Henningsvær (Hovde Marina). Check out and tidy up before departure A fee of NOK 490 will be charged if the cabin is not returned in the same condition as on arrival. Cleaning is included, but it is important that the dishwasher is turned on, that the cabin is cleaned and that things are put back where they were on arrival. Bed linen and used towels must be removed and placed in the bathroom on the main floor Refrigerators and drawers must be emptied of food you have bought yourself Most of all - we want you to have a relaxing and pleasant stay.
