The Travelers Retreat is a spacious 1400 sqft daylight apartment located on the hook of the Hood Canal. The rental is in the Vuecrest Estates community which is a quiet, private and well treed neighborhood. Union has so much to offer whether you're attending an event at the Alderbrook Resort or looking for a weekend of amazing hiking. Take a break from the city to experience the peaceful and relaxing surroundings of the Hood Canal. A perfect base for your Olympic Mountain adventures. The space This private daylight basement apartment includes a well stocked kitchenette, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry room and open concept living area. The primary suite features a king Cariloha resort mattress and bedding, double closets and a large desk with mirror for work space or vanity. The second bedroom, comfortably sleeps 2 with a queen Cariloha resort mattress and bedding with desk. This is a cozy room perfect for the imagination of your little ones or a second couple to relax. Enjoy the back yard with propane grill, propane fire pit table and lawn games. On those rainy days (4) ponchos are located in bedroom closets for your outdoor adventures. If staying indoors is more appealing, we have many movies available to guests on streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and VUDU. Other rain day options include board games, cards or play the classics on the Nintendo and Super Nintendo mini. Guest access The basement apartment has its own private entrance accessed by the lower driveway at the rear of the house so you can come and go as you please. The 10x24 patio at the rental entrance and large lower yard is for guests to enjoy. There is a stairwell inside the unit going to the owners residence. A door is located at the top of the stairs that remains locked during your stay. Signs clearly mark Private Residence Do Not Enter. Other things to note We do have one VERY friendly Golden Retriever named Brinkley and a cat named Oliver that may roam the yard and stop by for a visit during your stay. At this time we do not allow guests to bring pets.
