Description
Kick back & relax in this calm, stylish & quirky retreat. Explore plentiful rural and river walks, on your doorstep. Perfect for a peaceful or romantic getaway... not forgetting your well behaved four legged friends. Dine at home or just a short walk away is our wonderful village pub. Just 8 minutes by car and you are in the lovely market town of Chippenham with transport links to Bath, Bristol & Swindon. This country retreat is family ran with additional cottages available for larger parties. The space Peacock cottage has one double bedroom, with use of robes and slippers. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, towels are provided, along with soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner. The kitchen is fully equipped for 2 people and you will find a small jar of milk on arrival along with a small welcome hamper. Additionally tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper can be found in the cupboards to get you started. If you fancy being creative there is a cocktail cabinet (alcohol and mixers not included!) We supply a tea towel and dish cloth, along with a spare toilet roll, bin bag and a few dishwasher tabs for your initial comfort. After these run out we ask you to equip your bathroom and kitchenette according to your length of stay. The lounge and kitchen are open plan. Within the lounge section you will find a sofa & dining table. Hidden in a petrol pump is a bluetooth speaker and a couple of games. There is a small mounted tv with a fire stick available for you to sign into all your favourite accounts. There is a couple of DVDs to choose from. There is central heating and WiFi throughout. Please note that the property does not contain a washing machine, dryer or cleaning equipment. A laundry service may be available if needed and either a request of equipment or a mid stay clean can be arranged for a small fee. Guest access There is a shared parking area slightly up the driveway and away from the cottages. There is a Key box and the code is issued on arrival day. Entry is contactless. Other things to note PEACOCKS Please note we do have the Peacocks that roost in the trees opposite. Please be aware at certain points of the year they can be noisy. If you are not used to them, they can be an early morning wake up call! They are however a great novelty and we ask that dogs do not chase them. DOGS Please keep their paws in the floor within the cottage. A dog bed, bowls and paw wash is provided in the winter months. We do have other dogs on site that sometimes like to say hello to guests. Please let us know if you or your furry friends are anxious and we will try our best to keep them contained. CHILDREN Please supervise children around the grounds due to ponds, wells and machinery. There is play equipment near the parking area however this is to be used at your own risk. It is aging and has not been checked for safety. CLEANING For longer term stays additional mid stay cleaning is available at an extra charge. Please note there is no cleaning equipment within the property. There is also no laundry facilities unless requested and availability prevails. WIFI our WiFi is available until midnight and comes back on again at 6am. Please let us know if you require WiFi over night with notice. Phone signal is non existent here at the farm. CHILDREN Travel cots and high chairs are available on request.
