Description
Ever dream about living in an off-grid tiny house, but don't want to give up modern conveniences? Relax in our unique little cabin that feels like a remote getaway, yet centrally located to all that Southwest Michigan has to offer. Enjoy kayaking, fishing or swimming in the river. Conveniently located near the Paw Paw Lake boat launch and golf course... And only a 10 minutes to Lake Michigan. Cabin features running water/hot shower (Mar-Oct), as well as heat and air conditioning (year round). The space This is a 200 square-foot off grid tiny cabin. It has a double bed on the main floor and a twin bed in the loft. Sleeps 2–3 people comfortably. It is not hooked up to public utilities (electric, gas, sewer). There is a well on the property, so it does have running water. Everything is powered by batteries and a generator. The toilet is a composting toilet. Our family lived in this cabin for approximately six months so we tried to make things as easy and convenient as possible. The property features almost 25 acres and 1300 feet of river frontage with a few trails to walk and explore. Just a few steps from the cabin there is a nice area to put in/takeout kayaks or canoes. Guest access The whole cabin is yours during your stay. We do live on the property, but our house is up by the road (about a quarter mile away). Other things to note While we do strive to keep our distance and allow you to relax with nothing but the sounds of nature while you are here, we do live on the property and there are times we may pop down for a quick dip in the river or launch our kayaks from the beach in front of the cabin. In addition, there is a canoe livery in town that services this part of the river, so you may see other kayakers float past the cabin from time to time.
