The Crow's Nest in Hodges Bay House

The Crow's Nest suite is situated on the upper level of Hodges Bay House. Offering spectacular ocean and mountain views in 1,000 sq. ft. spacious, modern indoor and outdoor living, near beach access. We are 20 minutes from Douglas Charles Airport, close to beaches ( 15 mins. from Batibou Beach, 10 from Baptiste) 5 mins. car ride to the village of Calibishie. The suite is air conditioned.** THE WATER IS STRICTLY SOLAR HEATED. NO SUN, MEANS NO HOT WATER. **AC from 7pm to 7am. The space Hodges Bay House is a newly renovated vacation rental property (2023/2024) with 3 private and separate suites. The Crow's Nest***sits at the top, ( ***STRICTLY SOLAR HEATED WATER...NO SUN ='S NO HOT WATER) the Big Bamboo in the middle and the Rum Runner at garden level. All 3 suites have spectacular ocean views. The Crow's Nest also has mountain views. The Big Bamboo and Rum Runner have ocean views, as well as the infinity pool. We offer excursions for our guests ( river tubing, water falls, beach exploring etc...) Yoga on the pool deck complete with massages afterwards....We can arrange that. We also have a shuttle service back and forth to the village, and day car and driver packages. Please contact us from pricing and further details. In addition, we have a queen sized air mattress available (for a minimal 1 time fee per stay), 2 toddler beds and a crib (free of charge). Although we feel we have done everything possible to make the villas modern and comfortable, we are reminded at times that we are still embracing life in a developing nation. WiFi may not be as fast as we are used to....it may rain a lot, like a lot a lot which means our water pressure changes and becomes low. The AC will not be as frigid as you are used to. All fleeting issues we must be patient with. Thus, we have life on an island: Raw and Natural! Guest access Guests have access to the entire villa. The Infinity Pool is for all of our guests to enjoy. The shallow end is 18 inches, the deep end is 4ft. It is a chlorinated pool, and solar heated. All children must be monitored at the pool at all times. We do not offer lifeguard services. Other things to note Please note: the water in the Crow's Nest is strictly solar heated. We can not guarantee a hot shower, as cloudy days and/or rain effect the water temperatures. Dominica is a beautiful, natural island, and it is also a developing nation. The internet is not going to be as fast as you may be used to. The water pressure may vary in rainy weather. Regular, every day conviences we take for granted in North America and Europe may not be available.
