Description

Relax with the family at this beautiful, spacious lakefront home, on a wooded lot, with a private dock, on a peaceful cove, in Big Creek on Norris Lake. Enjoy nature in this cabin-themed, 6 bedroom, 5 bath house with upper and lower living areas each with stone fireplace, full kitchen, deck with grill and seating. There is also a bunk area, game room, fire pit, covered slip for 1 boat, and a floating port for 1 PWC! The space 6 bedrooms, including 1 king bedroom and 5 queen bedrooms, plus a loft with 4 twin bunk beds. Guest access Three story house with private dock. Other things to note This lakefront home is in a quiet, residential area. We are happy to share the space for family gatherings, but not for parties with loud music or large gatherings that might disturb the neighbors. In order to make a reservation at the Lazy Bear Lodge, you must acknowledge that you have read and agree to the rules below. While most of our previous guests have been lovely, and we truly enjoyed sharing our home with them, these very detailed house rules arose from one specific renter: There is a 15 person maximum on the property (including guests). Although this listing notes 102 stairs to the dock (when the lake is at summer pool, 120 when the lake is at winter pool), our hill still surprises some guests. Please supervise young children and elderly adults on their first trek down. We recommend using the stairs and the handrail to access the dock. There is a 6 vehicle maximum (including trailers) on the property. There is gravel parking at street level for 2 trailers or vehicles. The driveway is steep. No trailers are permitted on the driveway. There is room to park 4 vehicles on the driveway pad. For safety purposes, no side by sides are permitted on the property. Check in time is any time after 4 PM, and check out time is any time before 11 AM. In order to allow time for our cleaning person, we are unable to offer early check-in or late checkout. Quiet hours are 10PM-8AM. There are no pets and no smoking allowed. Guests may not disconnect or obscure any of the 4 disclosed security devices: ring doorbell, front porch camera, back patio camera, and dock camera. The dock camera is present for the safety of the dock and the owners' boat. For guest privacy, the dock camera does not capture the sun deck. Please ensure that no one in your party TRESPASSES on the privately owned neighboring docks. Please keep the game room door closed, to control humidity in the room. Do not unplug the radon fan in the game room. If you use the wall unit air conditioner in the game room, please make sure it is turned off each time the room is unoccupied. Do not unplug or turn off the dehumidifier (or the dehumidifier pump) in the game room. Do not unplug or turn off the 2nd dehumidifier in the lower living area. You might notice the suspended ladder enabling access to a hidden nook above the loft bathroom. If anyone in your party uses that area, please leave the linens clean, the light, fan, and tv off, and the area free of trash/debris. Our cleaning person typically works alone, and it is unsafe for them to climb the ladder to clean that area. There is a 2 boat, 1 PWC maximum on the property (in addition to the owners’ boat). There is 24' deep covered slip available to guests, and room to tie a 2nd boat <28' to the guest side of the dock. The 2 boat maximum includes rentals. Guests may not tie boats to the cove side of the dock, or the PWC side of the dock, or to the side of their boat on the guest side of the dock. The owners' boat is stored in the 2nd covered slip. Please do not touch the owners' boat or the lift. Guests may use the blue Hydroport PWC dock. The tan Wave Armor docks are for owner use only. Our cleaning person does not clean the dock area, so please ensure no fishing hooks or trash are left on the dock. Since this is a heavily wooded area, and a fire could be devastating, the following must be observed in the fire pit area: • Attend the fire at all times. • Only burn dry fire wood in the fire pit. • Do not burn limbs or brush from the property. • Do not use flammable liquids to start fire. • When finished with the fire, let ashes cool completely, empty the fire pit by shoveling the ashes into the provided metal can at the end of your stay, and cover the fire pit. Our cleaning person does not clean the fire pit area, so please make sure the area is left free of trash/debris. Trash is collected on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please DO NOT put loose trash in the cans, because the trash collector will not take it. ALL trash (from your cars, the house, the dock, and the fire pit area) MUST be placed in tied trash bags in the containers on the driveway pad near the air conditioners. The following areas are locked and for owner use only: garages, utility closet, and the basement master closet. We have a septic tank so please don’t flush any products other than toilet tissue. Please leave laundry washing machine doors open, to allow them to dry. Please note the house is cabin-style, so in high winds, it is normal to hear popping sounds due to the metal roof and expansion/ contraction of the wood.
