Camp Two Hearted is your remote northern Michigan off-grid base camp that is open for the enjoyment of those who wish to experience all the beautiful nature and outdoor experiences Pure Michigan has to offer. The rustic riverfront main cabin is perched nearly 70 feet over over the majestic Two Hearted River and it presents a view for the ages. Camp. Fish. Canoe. Hunt. UTV. Rockhound. Snowmobile. Hike. Relax. Unplug. Enjoy! The space Camp Two Hearted is set on 10 private acres with direct Two Hearted river frontage and is exactly that- a camp! It is a full camping experience that provides the means for you to enjoy nature with a few modern touches. Just a little over 1 mile (as the crow flies) from Lake Superior, camp is located just minutes from main UTV and Snowmobile trails- this is a year-around base camp for outdoorsman, rock hounds and campers alike! The Main Cabin- Has 2 semi-private bedrooms (with curtain doors) each with 1 Queen bed. The open loft holds 2 Twin beds and there is a Queen air mattress that may be used in the living area for additional sleeping. The cabin is open-concept with a living room and sitting area as well as a dining/kitchen that holds a large table that can double as a prep area as well. The Bunkhouse- Has a large sleeping area that holds 4 Queen beds (bunk style) and is off a spacious living area that could hold additional air mattresses (not provided). A Few Important Notes: - There is a steep incline about 65ft in elevation from the camp to access the river. There is a path with rope that can be followed down and used at your own discretion but it may not be accessible for everyone. Please exercise extreme caution with young children and when accessing the river frontage. - There is NO running water on site. Guests need to bring any water needed for drinking and cooking. There is non-potable water that can be retrieved from the river. - No running water means no Toilets and no showers. There is an Outhouse that is set right between the Cabin and the Bunkhouse- but is positioned so there is still some privacy! -The Kitchen is stocked with a propane camp stove as well as a fridge. There are Plates/Cups/Bowls and Silverware provided as well as a few pots/pans and cooking utensils. There is a sink for washing dishes, etc that guests can use but again, guests will need to bring water to use. - Not only are there 10 private acres to explore, but the property is minutes from main trails and Lake Superior access. Guests may haul in toys and trailers to hunt, fish, and explore the area. *There are a few amenities that are provided in limited quantity but we recommend packing extras as they are not guaranteed. Due to the location, Camp is also ran by a solar grid system that runs minimal low-voltage lighting in both the cabin and the bunkhouse. Minimal power is provided for charging phones/batteries/etc. A simple duel-fuel generator(fuel and instructions provided) powers and charges the system during periods of over-use and/or insufficient sunlight. Guests will need to be comfortable starting a small generator, potentially once a day for about 60 minutes, and follow instructions to turn the system on and off upon arrival and departure. No cleaners arrive in between guests due to the remote location so, like a camp, guests are expected to leave it as they found it with floors swept, kitchen and all dishes cleaned, trash taken, and all grounds maintained as they were found. The owners of Camp Two Hearted have plans to upgrade to running water, add a shower room, upgade to an automatic generator, add a newer toilet option, and much more in the coming years.
