Enjoy serenity of the Elfin Forest! Private entry to Guest House with: Living room, 3 "en-suite" bedrooms, balconies, 4 bathrooms, air-hockey table, steam room, sauna, gym & kitchenette. Outdoor space to share with hosts: 2.2 acres, fruit orchard, tennis/basketball court, swimming pool/spa. Surroundings include: hike/bike/horse trails, vast open space teeming with wildlife, & proximity to nature preserve. NOT ideal for mobility-impaired or very young children due to: staircase and pool. The guest wing has panoramic views of the California coast, and its three bedrooms and living room can comfortably accommodate six visitors. The pool area, which guests are allowed to use between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM, features a gas grill and patio with ocean views. The 2-acre lot provides ample space to explore, or to take in fruit trees and a tennis court. Trail rides available upon request. The guest wing has its own private entry and encompasses about 3,000 square feet, providing the feel of a spacious home. A locking door provides guests with privacy and separation from the part of the home occupied by the hosts, but the living areas are in close proximity to each other, which is why there are some noise restrictions. Included as part of one of the three bedroom suites is a small kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, and dishwasher. However the kitchenette does not have a conventional oven or stove top, so options for cooking at home are limited. The large living room in the guest wing features a large-screen TV with satellite and internet access, along with an adjacent wet bar. Guests have sole use of three balconies offering scenic views of the California coast. One of the balconies features an air hockey game. There is also an indoor gaming area with a pub table and chairs and large windows overlooking the coast. Just downstairs, also within the private guest wing, is a steam bath and sauna. Subject to prior arrangements with hosts, guests may use the hosts' pool, hot tub, and nearby gas grill for up to a few hours each day, no earlier than 11:00 AM and no later than 8:00 PM. These amenities are on the hosts' side of the house and right outside their living area, so they are not very private, and guests should not visit if their intention is to spend most of their time by a pool. But the hosts are happy to share these amenities with guests wanting to spend 2-3 hours of quiet time by the pool or an hour in the hot tub every now and then. Guests can call or text hosts if they have any questions and are requested to contact the hosts in advance to set times to use the hosts' pool or hot tub. Due to Covid, we try to minimize interaction with guests, but since it is a shared property, some interaction usually occurs, particularly when guests use the pool or hot tub on the hosts' side of the house. Elfin Forest horse country beauty! Our home is on a very peaceful, secluded, mountainside, overlooking Rancho Santa Fe to the south and Encinitas to the west. Far ocean views! The immediate neighborhood is semi-rural with lots of open space. The house is surrounded by unpaved roads and dirt trails that are great for hiking, mountain biking, or horse riding. Three miles from our house is the quaint village of San Elijo Hills, which features a wine bar, several restaurants, and the nearest supermarket. EQUESTRIAN PARADISE! (Award-winning neighbor gives the best trail rides!) The immediate area is not supported by public transportation, but numerous small cities with public transit options are within a 10-15 minute drive of our home. There is plenty of parking on our property and along the roads leading to it. Popular destinations that are within a 45-minute drive of our home include the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, Sea World, Legoland, the Temecula wine country, and every beach in San Diego County. Within a 2-hour drive are Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Ensenada, Mexico. HORSE LOVER’S PARADISE!
