Casa Caballito de Mar, stunning ocean view
Description
Welcome to Casa Caballito de Mar, our luxury villa located in Potrero, Costa Rica. This exquisite home is perched atop a mountain backed up to the lush forest on one side with breathtaking ocean views on the other. Immerse yourself in the charm of this idyllic setting where each evening gifts you a stunning sunset overlooking the Flamingo Marina and Potrero Beach. In just a short 10 minute drive you can be relaxing on the pristine shores of Playas Prieta, Potrero, Penca or Flamingo. The space This property boasts 3 bedrooms that each have their own en-suite bathrooms and outdoor patio. Room 1: Master suite with King bed, luxury soaking tub, large, and your own private balcony with gorgeous ocean and jungle views. Somedays you lie in bed and watch the howlers play with their babies. Room 2: King bed with en-suite bathroom, large shower, plenty of closet space, TV, and sliding doors to the upper balcony with amazing views and outdoor seating. Coffee Bar available between upstairs rooms. Room 3: Queen bed, two upper bunk beds, large en-suite bathroom and walk in shower. Attached door to upper balcony. Coffee bar available between upstairs rooms. You will see an array of beautiful birds (owls and parrots are regulars) and many times we are visited by Howler Monkey families in the trees surrounding the home. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with state of the art, brand new appliances, a coffee maker, air fryer, and all the amenities. A gorgeous stone staircase takes you upstairs where the whole family can enjoy the views with a large sectional on the covered balcony or enjoy a board game on the counter-height table for four. This is an amazing spot to enjoy your morning coffee, a nighttime cocktail or even get in some needed computer time with the provided Wi-Fi. Guest access The whole house is available for your use. Other things to note Most of the road in the finca is a dirt road and there is a steep hill for about 1/2 mile leading up to our home. It is accessible with front wheel drive 4x2, but some guests state they would have felt more comfortable with a 4x4 vehicle. My personal vehicles climb slowly in 4x2 with no problems. If you plan to do some discovering on your own in Costa Rica, a 4x4 is recommended. Update January 2026: the very steep hill that has made some guests nervous has been refinished with concrete and pavement so you will have no issues with a 2x4 vehicle dropped to low gears.
