Casa Sin Numero, an authentic village house

An authentic, 200-year-old Andalucian Casita right in the heart of Comares, one of the most striking and beautiful Pueblo Blancos of the Axarquia. Perched at the top of a mountain (but reached via a modern road!) this house has 2 double bedrooms with one king size bed and one double, and a single bed in a mezzanine space suitable for a child or a robust adult. Full of character, this has been a family holiday home for over 30 years, and has been modernised but keeps many original features. The space Casa Sin Numero is an authentic village Casita. This has been a much-loved family holiday home for over 30 years (and continues to be) - we have modernised it sensitively, using local craftspeople where possible. It is now very comfortable, but retains its historic character. Built into the side of a mountain, it has a sitting room, kitchen, and wetroom (shower + toilet) downstairs, with 3 bedrooms upstairs, which are reached by a spiral staircase. Outside there is a small courtyard, and a terrace on the roof with breathtaking views. The house is heated by electric radiators and a woodburning stove. There is no air conditioning but fans are provided - the house has fantastic insulation (the mountain!) and these are very effective. Please note - as is common in rural village houses, the bedrooms are interlinked - the master bedroom is accessed through the second, and the third bedroom is a mezzanine with only half a wall. The second bedroom has a curtain to provide privacy, but please be aware! Guest access Guests can access the entire house, plus the terrace, and the storeroom (in the old stable). Other things to note Access to the upper floor of the house is via a spiral staircase, and the only bathroom is downstairs. Access to the terrace is via steep steps. Comares itself has very steep streets with steps (the street to the house is stepped). I do not recommend the house for people with mobility issues, or with very small children.
