Damariscotta River Retreat

Thank you for another wonderful season. We will be updating calenders for 2026 by FEB. 15TH 2026 THANK YOU! The space Escape to tranquility at Damariscotta River Retreat! Only a short drive from the charming villages of Damariscotta, South Bristol, and New Harbor. Relax on the deep water dock, and enjoy sweeping sunset views, kayaking, and fishing. The retreat offers a couple's getaway in the main home, and steps away is a 500 sq ft. bunk house with space for four more guests. The barn/home was built in 2022 and offers quality furnishings and woodworking throughout. The upstairs living area is approximately 900 sq. ft and ideal for 1 couple with one queen bed. Additional guests can enjoy the well-appointed bunkhouse just steps away, which offers two twin sized beds that together create a King if desired in the loft. There is a full sized new sleeper sofa downstairs and an additional fold out twin bed. The loft is accessed by laddered stairs. The porch overlooks the river tucked in a wooded setting. The bunk house is heated with a cozy gas stove. The bathroom for quests staying in the bunkhouse is steps away located on the side of the barn/home. Please note: the property is on a hillside. There are 15 granite steps down to the dock and some addition sloping ground to walk up to the barn/home from the waterfront and further to the bunkhouse. (but nothing drastic) Guest access The entire upstairs is for guests while part of the downstairs is locked off (owners woodworking shop) There is a lovely front entrance with a gas stove, a large mudroom for gear, coats, shoes etc. Also, on the first floor is a large bathroom with new LG laundry SS appliances. This bathroom can also be accessed by a side entrance for those using the bunkhouse. Other things to note There is an approximate mile long driveway down to the home. Please drive slow for you will find deer, fox, and turkey on a regular basis. There is one neighbor next to us on the point. Please respect there privacy. Be sure to turn on to FOX HILL ROAD and not our neighbor's driveway to the south. Sometimes electronic mapping gets our two driveways confused. Fox Hill Road is clearly marked.
