Drift into reverie in the garden to the sound of the waves and the birdsong. Wander down the road to the sands of Quiet Corner or brave the nearby bush track to the turquoise waters of the secluded ‘secret beach’ . Self-catering is a breeze with our well-appointed kitchen with all home comforts, Weber BBQ, and the Adventure Bay General Store less than a kilometre away. Curl up inside or by the outdoor fireplace below Mount Mangana, and plan your adventures in this magic corner of the world. The space This is our family ‘shack’ (for the non-Tasmanians, that’s a holiday home here). You will have full use of it during your stay. The bathroom is newly renovated and offers a bath with shower over. THERE IS NO WASHING MACHINE OR DRYER. The property is on TANK WATER so please be considerate of water use. The kitchen is equipped just like home, so you can prepare and serve almost any dish, and even bake yourself some goodies. Condiments and cooking essentials are free to use. There is an oven and stove and air fryer. There is dining seating for 6 people, a breakfast bench seating 3, and garden chairs and deck chairs on the front veranda to enjoy the sunny garden and bay views. Or take the enjoyment out the back - in the covered outdoor dining area there is a Weber BBQ, table for 6, and plenty of firewood to relax by the fireplace and toast some marshmallows! The main bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom also offers a double bed, with single bunk over, and a pull-out trundle bed underneath. There are some free drawers for clothes storage in each room. The living area is cosy and has a modern reverse-cycle heat pump/air-conditioner. In the winter months there is also a small oil heater for overnight use. The house is well-designed to avoid the summer heat. The yard is large with room for kids to run around, kick the soccer ball, hit the totem tennis, or shoot some hoops. Bring the boat! There is fairly reliable mobile phone reception for Telstra and Optus. There is free WIFI (‘Serenade Starlink’). There is no television signal, but there is a new Samsung full HDTV with most streaming services (for your own account) plus ‘Freeview’ which has all the Australian TV Stations live streaming and catch up. A smaller television takes DVDs and there are plenty in the drawers underneath. To watch DVDs, ensure the TV is connected to power, then use the remote control to turn on (red button). If necessary, change the ‘source’ to DVD. DVDs are inserted label out in left the side of the TV. The stereo instructions are in the side table left hand drawer - you can Bluetooth your music service to it. You are welcome to use any of the beach and sporting equipment, and (at your own risk) the bikes - helmets are provided. Guest access Access is by lock box for the key, accessed by code. Please ensure the key is returned to the lockbox on checking out. All spaces are available for your use, and do enjoy any equipment.
