Description
Enjoy a peaceful, romantic stay within this tiny village of Lake Bathurst NSW. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, established European and Australian native trees and amazing birdlife. The cabin is set in an elevated private position near Bongaralaby Creek. St Johns Anglican village church is next door and the immediate view is over the village country houses. The train from Sydney to Canberra passes daily. Lake Bathurst is separate from the lake by about 3-4 kms. 30kms from Goulburn. The space The properly is situated on the south boundary next door to St Johns Anglican church Lake Bathurst. Lake Bathurst is a historical first discovered in 1818 by James Meehan, a freed convict. In the 1950's was a popular destination to the village, the lake was full of water, skiing and power boats drew large crowds. Today the location of the cabins is where people disembarked from the train to go to the lake. The train station is a heritage site as are several of the properties surrounding St John's church. Our main residence was once St John's church hall. If you enjoy wild birdlife you will find many different birds including black swans and ducks on the lake. You are welcome to walk around the property and onto nearby railway owned land alongside the cabins, church and old stone building primary school now a private property. It leads to Bongaralaby creek, one of the many that lead to Lake Bathurst. Also I enjoy a lovely walk along Glenoval Road with wonderful rural views. We have a friendly puppy called "Lolita",a caboodle. She doesn't bite and may want to visit you to say hello she's friendly and very affectionate. We hope you enjoy your stay and recommend us to your friends. Registration Details PID-STRA-61939
