Whether you’re looking for a basecamp for outdoor adventures or a cozy weekend retreat from the city, this modern home is the perfect spot to host get-togethers with your family, friends, & all your gear. The space I love my home for its proximity to outdoor adventures and its spacious layout, which makes get-togethers warm and inviting. I travel a lot for work and when I'm not home, I just want others to enjoy my home as much as I do. The main floor features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living room with attached deck. The master has a queen bed & private glass door shower, while the guest has a shared bathroom with tub. Cozy up around the fire during winter months or take to the grill for a summer cookout. I have super fast wifi and a TV that supports Airplay and streaming. Up the stairs, guests will find an open loft with couch and TV, a reading nook, and workstation. Another shared bath with tub supports the two bedrooms on the floor, one outfitted with a pair of bunk beds and the other with a double sized bed. An inflatable queen mattress and bedding are available to extra guests upon request. Downstairs in the garage, the laundry room doubles as a drying room. In the garage itself you’ll find racks for bikes, skis/boards, a work stand and bench for any waxing or bike repairs while you stay. The tools, iron and wax are all at your disposal. My only ask is you please leave things better than you found them, follow the posted instructions and make sure you unplug the iron. Down the road is the Firehouse, a new and much needed community space with 3 businesses: Laconia Market, Pass Life Work Space and evo. Laconia features a quality selection of beer, wine and groceries to get you through your weekend. If you need a conference room, printer or access to other tools, the Pass Life has you covered. evo has everything you forgot to pack, along with rentals for skiing, snowboarding or mountain biking. Additionally, the US Forest Service has a kiosk in the building that operates on weekends, offering free snowshoe rentals and guided tours in the winter and summer hiking info. The home is located just steps away from the lifts at Summit West, where you can then access the other Summit areas via the network of crossover trails. Alpental ski area, home to some of the steepest inbounds-terrain in the state, is less than a 5 minute drive. Skip the trailheads & start your ski tour or summer hike exploring the Alpine Lakes Wilderness & Pacific Crest Trail from the door. The Summit's lift served mountain bike park is a quick coast downhill and world class riding can be found in North Bend and Roslyn, just 25 min each direction. The Palouse to Cascades Trail picks up just down the road from the house and connects with endless Forest Service roads for unlimited potential on the gravel bike. For those looking for a more relaxing experience, lay low, turn on the fireplace and take in the stunning views as Guye Peak & Snoqualmie Mtn stare you in the face. Hit Laconia for pastries and coffee to keep your belly warm and full while you play games, read a book or watch a movie. Enjoy lunch or dinner from Commonwealth's menu or a cold pint from the numerous taps at Dru Bru next door. There is so much to do here, you may just have to come back. Guest access I keep a little closet in the back of the garage for my goods, but the remainder of the house is yours to use. I simply ask to take care of it as if it were your own. Please help yourself to any condiments, beer, wine and bubbly water. I try to keep a good stock when I’m home and when I’m out, they still need to be consumed. Access to the house is remote. You will be given a door code upon confirmation of your stay.
