Houseboat IRENE with fireplace - Winter on the Dove Elbe

IRENE – a retreat made of wood, light and water for the cold season. It gently rocks on the Dove Elbe, a place for two to four guests looking for peace, nature and a feel-good atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows let the wintry shore in, the fireplace flickers softly, and at night you can admire the starry sky from the 1.60 m wide bed. On the roof terrace you can enjoy the clear winter sun – a houseboat that warms the heart and soul. The space Winter magic on the IRENE – your retreat on the Dove Elbe When winter immerses the Elbe in soft gray and the air becomes clear, the IRENE is the perfect place for a cozy break. Two to four guests can be accommodated in 23 m² of living space: the 1.60 m wide bed on the sleeping level invites you to spend nights under the starry sky, the sofa bed below offers additional comfort. The living area radiates warmth – a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating and cozy seating areas create a feeling of well-being. The tailor-made kitchenette is fully equipped: stove, fridge, coffee machine and everything you need for cooking. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in light and views of the wintry water. The small terrace directly on the boat and the roof terrace with lounge and sun loungers offer places to relax and enjoy even in the cold season. Wi-Fi is available free of charge, pets are welcome by arrangement. On the IRENE, design, comfort and nature merge into a magical winter experience – a place to slow down, watch the water and unwind. NOTE: This tiny houseboat has an eco-friendly dry separation toilet. At the back there is a container for toilet paper and solids, after use you throw sawdust or cat litter into it. At the front, all liquids flow out and into the wastewater tank of the houseboat. The toilet is comparable to a compost toilet. Other things to note The houseboat is not directly connected to the water supply on land, so it has a fresh water and a waste water tank. You have 400 liters of fresh water available on the boat, so showers should be kept rather short. The water filled into the fresh water tank is drinking water, but since it is stored in a tank, it officially has no drinking water quality - so please bring drinking water. (Alternatively, you can get drinking water from the bathroom on land.) The grounds, the jetty and the boat are not barrier-free. You can sleep on the sofa; it is 1.40 m wide when unfolded, so it is suitable for 2 people. So you can stay overnight with 1-4 people on the boat; depending on how much you want to cuddle, as a family with smaller children, for example, also with five people (if three sleep in the big bed). (Please always register all people.) You can park for FREE directly at the boat (even if there is a sign that says it costs 5 euros - this does not apply to our houseboat guests). The boat is located in a marina on the Dove Elbe in Hamburg Moorfleet. There is not much going on in the harbor during the winter - most small pleasure boats are not sailed in winter and stand dry on land. In addition to the bathroom on board, there are also toilets and showers on land that can be used by all. There you will also find a washer and dryer. - The shower on land costs 50 cents for 5 minutes of shower time. The washing machine takes five 50-cent pieces, the dryer takes four 50-cent pieces.
