The Black Cabin is built on an upper floor — its windows and terrace are right at treetop level, in a corner where the Tepoztlán Ecological Reserve really starts to get serious. The space 🌟 What to expect · True elevated view: Being on the upper floor, your windows frame the treetops, not the undergrowth — a perspective you don't have at ground level. · Private terrace, elevated and completely secluded. I am always available, even if you don't see me. · Our own temazcal on the property, available as an additional experience. · Why "La Negra"? All the furniture, the ceiling and even the cutlery in the cabin are black — hence the name. 📍 Location · Within the Tepozteco Ecological Reserve — 10 minutes along a little-used dirt road from the highway, 20 minutes in total to the town. 🐾 Pets · If you travel with your pet, it is welcome (see policies and additional cost). 💻 For those who work or create from anywhere · Few offices overlook the treetops. If your work fits on a laptop, La Negra's height and silence make it one of the best cabins of the four we have for long weekday stays — the kind of space where you really think differently. Guest access A private, elevated terrace where you can start your day with a coffee while looking out over the forest from above. You can walk through this entire part of the forest (200,000 m²) at the pace of your thoughts, as there are no neighbors nearby, except for some small wild animals or, with luck, one of the deer families that live in these areas. Other things to note Getting to the Black Cabin is completely self-service: On the day of your arrival, we'll send you the exact location on WhatsApp, and you'll find the keys in a safe place to drive the last 1.5 km of dirt road through the forest to the cabin — any car can make it without any problems. Since it's in the woods, it's normal to find the odd insect. The space is fumigated regularly and poses no risk. If you prefer, let us know, and we'll remove it. If you feel like ordering food, we'll give you the contact information for a local delivery service when you arrive. It's independent of us, but it works very well. Items such as a hairdryer or iron are available in the main building. Just ask.
