Comfort and Convenience
We have extensively remodeled this special home and brought it forward from the 1960s while maintaining its character, including the original wrought iron railing and open vaulted living room. We've also incorporated some elements of Altoona's history into the home. It's the perfect cozy and welcoming space to rest and relax whether traveling for work, visiting family, or exploring the beautiful surrounding area. The space This property is convenient to lots of amenities yet surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. It is also walking distance to Altoona Penn State campus and only 45 minutes from State College. We have incorporated numerous features into the home to make it easy to settle in and be comfortable. We are continuing renovations, as time allows, to the third lower level bedroom en suite as well as the exterior carport and landscaping. Read on for more details, check out our photos and guidebook, and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions! The two queen bedrooms with en suites are located at each end of the upper level for maximum privacy and comfort. Each has a separate zoned thermostat, ceiling fan, blackout curtain/light-filtering blinds, and smart TV with Roku guest access so you can log into your own streaming services during your stay. Bathrooms are new with tiled showers, rain head/hand held fixture combos, and LED mirrors over the vanities. The living room on the main level features a variety of seating to relax, read, play games, or view entertainment on the Roku smart TV. The drop leaf table provides flexible options for table seating. The kitchen is outfitted with new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and garbage disposal as well as the essentials you need to cook, bake, and brew that all-important cup of coffee. The sink faucet includes a pull down sprayer, and the oven has convection and air fry features as well as a griddle pan. Exhaust fan efficiently removes any spray, smoke, or odors. The freshened laundry room is located on the lower level with access directly to the carport. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are available. Additional outside renovations to the carport area are in progress, but it is fully functional with sensor lighting for parking and access.
