Jackman’s on the Park

Jackman's is ideally located in the heart of historic Penola opposite the visitor information centre, playground and park and a short walk to the main street with great eateries, shops and galleries. Coonawarra is nearby, with it's variety of cellar doors along the famed Terra Rossa strip, or enjoy the attractions, events and award-winning dining the region has to offer. This property offers unique and comfortable living for those looking for a short term or longer stay. The space Spacious and comfortable; Jackman's provides a private sanctuary where couples, family or friends can wind down and rejuvenate. The house is fully self-contained and has an open plan kitchen with dining and large windows to allow in lots of natural light. High ceilings are a feature throughout; French doors open onto the private courtyard to enjoy at any time of day and a Weber Q to self-cater for a night in. Luxurious bedding in all bedrooms with plush pillows and Mini Jumbuk pure woollen quilts; extra pillows and blankets are located in the built-in wardrobes. Luggage racks are available in each bedroom for bags to be tucked away. There are two living areas - both with a Smart TV. The upstairs living area has French doors that open onto a small balcony, overlooking the leafy courtyard that is perfect to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or glass of local Coonawarra wine. The upstairs sofa can also be converted to a Queen bed on request. The brand new bathroom has the option of a fixed or hand held shower head; there is also an extra half bathroom with a toilet and sink for your convenience. The private back yard has a converted wool table located under an enormous walnut tree offering perfect shade for keeping cool on warm Summer afternoons. Pantry provisions for your stay include: Fresh Bread, Butter, Milk, Jam, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Salt + Pepper, Limestone Coast Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Guest access The property is a fully-equipped house; you will have access to three bedrooms; two living areas; a full kitchen; indoor and outdoor dining; one and a half bathrooms; laundry; private courtyard and onsite parking in the backyard. Jackman's is fully-fenced but not secure for pets. Other things to note Please note that the house is supplied entirely by rainwater from the tanks in the back garden, please use water conservatively during your stay. Please also be aware that the only access to the upper living area and balcony is via the internal staircase. The slow combustion fire place is available for use in the kitchen/dining room during the colder months, however please be aware that firewood and kindling will need to be supplied by guests. Firewood is available for purchase at the local Penola Hardware and Foodland stores.
