The space Designed to bring people together, Game Barn Retreat combines spacious open-plan living with thoughtful touches throughout. Whether you’re cooking a holiday meal, gathering for movie night, or relaxing after a day exploring the Hill Country, everything has been designed to make spending time together effortless. We have stocked the Game Barn generously so your group can settle in immediately, even after a long drive. A welcome snack bowl awaits with chips, cookies and a candy selection for everyone. The kitchen comes ready with locally roasted coffee beans, creamer singles, sugar and sweetener packets, tea and hot chocolate, along with cooking oil, salt, pepper and a range of spices and herbs. We believe your vacation should start the moment you walk through the door not with a shopping trip for coffee, spices and toilet paper. Bathrooms are fully stocked with Ginger Lily Farms (Zero Derm where possible) shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap, and we provide laundry detergent and dishwasher pods too, so an unexpected spill, a stained shirt, or a mid-stay towel refresh is never a problem. Toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap are all provided as standard. We genuinely believe in arriving to a home that is ready for you, not a checklist of things to buy on the way. The Game Barn is where friendly competition begins. Challenge each other to pool, axe toss and basketball, or settle in for movie night on the 17-foot cinema screen. The cowboy pool, game barn and grill shack form a natural triangle of entertainment, connected by string lights that drape across the entire area and glow long into the evening. The fire pit sits at the centre of it all, which means wherever you are, you are part of the same gathering. You can even soak in the cowboy pool and watch a movie on the 17ft barn screen at the same time. The cowboy pool itself is a genuine highlight. It is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees as standard, included in your stay, with the option to heat further up to 104 degrees or chill it down to as low as 55 degrees for an additional $15 per night, arranged through the guest portal. Deer and foxes visit the property most evenings, so guests are asked to keep the pool covered when not in use, which helps protect the local wildlife as well as keeping the water clean and the temperature steady. Guests regularly tell us that what surprised them most was how naturally everyone put their phones down and just enjoyed being together. Before the pool was even added, families were telling us that the outdoor space had given them something they had been missing: time to reconnect and make memories in a setting that made it effortless. Other things to note To help you enjoy a smooth and memorable stay, here are a few helpful details before you book: Before You Arrive • Secure Guest Portal: Once you book, you’ll receive access to our secure Guest Portal, where you’ll complete a quick pre-arrival step including photo ID and selfie verification, signing our Short-Term Rental Agreement, and choosing either a refundable $1,500 security hold or an optional $55 non-refundable damage waiver. • Everything in One Place: Once completed, your Guest Portal unlocks everything you’ll need for your stay, including arrival instructions, door codes, a detailed digital house manual with helpful videos (including the barista-style coffee machine), local recommendations and optional upgrades. Included With Your Stay • Fast Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, washer and dryer are all included for a comfortable, connected stay. • Cowboy Pool: Your cowboy pool is heated to a comfortable 82°F as standard at no additional cost. Through the Guest Portal you can upgrade it to a relaxing 104°F hot soak or chill it to 55°F for a refreshing cold plunge for just $15 per night. Good to Know • Occupancy: Maximum 10 overnight guests, plus 1 infant in a Pack ’n Play. Day visitors are welcome with prior approval, with up to 10 additional daytime guests and a maximum of 20 people on the property at any one time. Day visitors may not stay overnight. • Booking Guest: The primary guest who made the reservation must remain on the property throughout the stay. • Quiet Hours: Outdoor music must be turned off by 10:00 pm to respect our neighbours. Indoor music at reasonable levels is welcome at any time. • Security Cameras: Exterior security cameras monitor the house corners and the front of the Game Barn for the safety of our guests and property. There are no cameras inside the home or in any private guest areas. • Pets: We are not pet friendly. Trained assistance animals are always welcome in accordance with applicable laws.
