Description

Come and relax in this calm, stylish space. A peaceful and cozy cottage. We are about 25 miles from the Derbyshire Dales, Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton to name a few. Chesterfield, with its crooked spire is an easy drive. Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, has to be a place to visit. The space About this space. This cottage was built over 150 years ago, as a home for coal miners working at nearby collieries. It was part of a group of eight cottages, which in previous times, formed a Square and locally known as “Cottages in the Square.” Cottage 58 is now one of the three remaining cottages. It is situated just a few miles from the M1, and is in a perfect location for exploring Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The space The property consists of a lounge with 2 sofas with side tables and lamps, bookcase with a selection of books and TV with Freeview, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and a table with 4 chairs. A small lobby adjacent to the kitchen leads to the bathroom which has shower, sink and toilet. From the kitchen, the stairs lead to two bedrooms. The double bedroom has large wardrobes, side tables with lamps and a dressing table with hairdryer. The single bedroom has a single bed, side table with lamp and a chest of drawers. PLEASE NOTE. The stairs are steep. We would advise that the bedrooms would be suitable for mobile adults only. Outside the kitchen is a patio with York Stone slabs, with table and chairs and sun parasol. The patio gets the sun for most of the day, ideal for a sunny morning coffee, or a drink in the evening. A short pathway leads to a larger second patio and lawn. In the Summer, patio chairs, recliners and parasols are available for use by our guests. Again, sunshine all day. We have ample parking in front of the cottage. Guest access Our guests have the whole cottage to themselves. There is ample free parking at the bottom of our driveway. The rear garden and patio can be used at all times.
