Retreat at the Karate Garage!

The Karate Garage is a peaceful retreat, 6 miles from the heart of Redmond. The studio is in a detached garage that overlooks beautiful sunrises, the barn, pastures & the occasional deer stopping by to say "Hi". To ensure a warm & inviting stay, we've stocked up with good coffee, flannel sheets & lots of pillows & blankets. Cozy up by the fireplace & enjoy quiet, dark nights, perfect for listening to the neighborhood owls. Our hope is that you leave feeling rested and refreshed. The space MAIN STUDIO SPACE: Our goal is for you to feel relaxed, comfortable, creative and inspired. Netflix and Hulu are available on the TV, games, cards and puzzles in the TV stand, magazines, books, sketchpads and a million colored pencils. While the WiFi works for streaming, we've discovered our country internet isn't great for someone who wants to work from the space. Though guests have done it using the Hotspots on their phones. We've included an insanely large beanbag chair for reading, movie watching or napping. The dining table expands to seat 4. The Karate Garage is heated by the gas fireplace, an electric wall heater and radiant heat in the bathroom. KITCHENETTE: The fully appointed kitchenette includes a 2 burner convection cooktop, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, blender, electric kettle and most importantly, a Nespresso machine and bunches of coffee! SLEEPING: There's a queen sized bed with tons of pillows and king sized bedding, because nobody should have to fight for covers. In a pinch, we've also got 2 HEST Sleep System beds available. BATHROOM: The bathroom has radiant heated floors, a shower, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, all towels and a hairdryer. Don't forget the bottle of toilet spray before an epic session in the Dojo! Guest access The Karate Garage is located in the detached garage on our property (see photos for proximity to our house). We live on 3 acres with 4 horses and a big ole cuddly dog, so during daylight hours there will be farm chores taking place on the property. While the dog, Gideon, is available for love and pets, the horses and barn are off limits. We board horses and need to respect our clients and their horses. That said, if the idea of a friendly dog walking around is a concern, we'll make accommodations to keep him on a leash when he's outside.
