Try the fine dining at Waubee Lodge just 5 minutes down the road! Want to stay in? Sit back and relax in the quiet solitude of the Northwoods, without a neighbor in sight. The space The Property: We are a wildlife friendly property! Our 16 acres have been vigorously maintained and improved to attract an abundance of wildlife species. From wildflower gardens and planted native trees, to bluebird houses and owl boxes our property has strived for natural diversity. We are even certified as an important wildlife habitat property with the National Wildlife Federation! How neat is that? If you love birding, then this is the place for you! Our well stocked bird feeders and gardens attract a diverse variety of songbirds. Indigo buntings, pileated woodpeckers, purple finches, and rose-breasted grosbeaks are just a few of our usual visitors in the summer. Yard: Our large yard offers plenty of space for summer fun activities! - Fire Ring - Yard Games - Wildflower Gardens - Walking paths in the field - All the space your pups need to run it out! Enough space to turn around with a small trailer. Kitchen: Our spacious kitchen features stainless steel Jenn-Air appliances, ample counter space, and storage. - Six burner gas stove - Double ovens - Full freezer and Refrigerator/Freezer - New Dishwasher - Wine cooler Dining Room: The dining room receives a generous amount of sunlight from a large window overlooking the front yard. - Large dining table - Access to patio / backyard - Access to laundry room Living Room: Cozy up with a book or a movie in our comfortable upstairs living room! Four large windows provide an almost panoramic view of the property. - Smart tv with streaming service device - DVD player and 100+ DVD's - Books of all kinds (Fantasy, biography, outdoors, etc.) - Reading nook with bookshelf Bathroom (Upstairs): Our newly renovated bathroom is our little spa in the Northwoods. - Tiled rain shower with handheld - Built-in shower seat - Large mirror - Vessel sink - Plentiful vanity counter space Master Bedroom: The master bedroom features a balcony overlooking the property, the best view of "Suite Fern Fields". - Queen bed - Large closet - TV - Black-out curtains - Balcony (seasonal) Guest Room 1: This guest room is the largest (besides the master) and features a futon (soon to be bunk beds). - Queen bed - Futon / Bunk Beds - Closet Guest Room 2: Our smallest guest room is beautifully decorated as a nursery and would make a great room for kids. - Full size bed - Colorful walls - Small closet Bathroom (Downstairs): The downstairs bathroom is located next to the dining room. - Stand-up shower - Vanity sink - Medicine cabinet Laundry Room: Located next to the dining room our large laundry room is great for storing extra belongings. - Washer and Dryer - Storage - Utility Sink Guest access This house is located on a county highway, making it easy to locate and access during your stay. A bright streetlight illuminates the driveway at night. Directly across the county road is the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest with access to all of your public land needs. Other things to note While we do not have home internet at this time, we will have streaming devices (Roku) available for use with personal mobile hotspots. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile all have reliable coverage up here and are sufficient for streaming with your smart phone.
