Perfect for up to 6 guests (4 plus 2 on the pull-out sofa), this two-story cabin features a main-floor double bed and an upstairs queen, both with blackout curtains, plus a fully equipped kitchen, electric fireplace, and propane grill. Enjoy sandy beach swimming and beautiful lake views. Streaming TV, Starlink WiFi, and a full washer/dryer make your stay comfortable, while the main-floor accessibility ramp adds convenience. Outdoor fire-pit and nearby snowmobile and ATV trails provide adventure. Parking for 3 cars is available, and pets are not permitted. Guest access Freshwater Vacation Rentals will email your arrival/departure instructions with door/lock box code. You will let yourselves in and out. The house is yours during your stay, enjoy and relax. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city. Fireplace: Electric fireplace with heat Fire-pit: Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own firewood. And, there are firewood bundles available on property for a $5 donation per bundle. Fishing: Yes! Expect to catch Lake Trout and Lake Salmon here. Please bring your poles! Fishing License: A license is required in order to fish in Michigan. There is a ramp making the first level of cabin accessible for people in wheel chairs and bathroom has grab bars Heat: Standing propane heater in main living area, propane wall heaters in great room, and bedrooms have electric wall heating Hunting: No hunting on property but there are state areas nearby Internet: Yes. We now have Starlink in place with exceptional coverage. And we have WiFi access throughout the property including down at the beach and at the fire-pit. Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels. Parking: 3 cars Pets: This is not a pet friendly property Privacy: No visible neighbors in sight Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. - Keweenaw Peninsula Snowmobile Trails Distance: 5-10 miles - Ottawa National Forest Trails Distance: 20-30 miles - Houghton County Snowmobile Trails Distance: 10-15 miles - Copper Country Trail Distance: 10-15 miles Space: 2 Story cabin on Lake Superior Seniors: Welcome. Stairs to second floor but main floor has a full bathroom and a bedroom Televisions: We have streaming TV available now with a Roku TV connected to the internet via Star Link. Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. Washer and Dryer: Yes Winter Activities: * Snowmobiling Distance: 5-10 miles - The Keweenaw Peninsula Snowmobile Trail System offers extensive snowmobiling opportunities with well-maintained trails connecting Lake Linden to the surrounding areas, including Houghton and Calumet. * Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing Distance: 5-15 miles - Michigan Tech Trails (about 10 miles) and Swedetown Trails (about 10 miles) offer cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through scenic forested areas. * Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding Distance: 15-20 miles - Mont Ripley Ski Area (about 15 miles away) offers downhill skiing and snowboarding, with views of the surrounding landscape. * Ice Fishing Distance: 5-15 miles - Lake Superior and nearby lakes like Torch Lake and Lake Linden are popular for ice fishing during the winter season. * Winter Hiking Distance: 5-10 miles -You can enjoy winter hiking in areas like Swedetown Trails or Chassell Nature Trails, which offer peaceful winter landscapes. * Winter Events Distance: 15-20 miles - Houghton and Calumet host various winter events like the Michigan Tech Winter Carnival (February) and ice sculptures at Downtown Houghton.
