Beachfront Farm Cabin - A

Camp nami, Camp Mayo. My house, it's his house. Experience the beautiful and pristine beach in the East Coast of Davao Oriental by staying at Camp Kamayo. This is our family's farm and vacation compound that we have opened to welcome guests who want a peaceful getaway with friends and family. This area of Banao is getting it's own share of attention as a surfing spot especially during Amihan. Anglers also come to cast their lines and they are almost always lucky. For everyone else, the beach awaits. The space The compound has 2 units for guests. Each unit is spacious for 2 adults, and at most 5(subject to additional fees). We can provide simple beds for extra guests. Kids 10y/o and below can stay free of charge. The units each have a bedroom, own spacious deck with coffee table, own private bath/CR and kitchen with basic cooking implements. The units are located in an area close to the beach. Our family home is also within the vicinity. The compound is a farm lot under development after the devastation of (Typhoon) Pablo many years back. We are still rebuilding and while we are doing that, we also want to share this experience, a piece of Davao Oriental, so others may feel the peace we feel as we stare out into the horizon, as we go for an afternoon swim, or pick shells by the sea, or just feel the breeze while sipping coffee or swinging on a hammock by the deck. All of this, maybe even more, at Camp Kamayo. Guest access There are no restrictions where guests can go but please be mindful since this is also a farm and there are areas where farm work is ongoing. There might also be construction or clearing works, but they will be easy to spot due to equipment on the grounds. Other things to note We encourage guests to bring their own meals to cook. We do not have a restaurant. There is a well-stocked store(sari-sari store) just outside the compound for meats, veggies, seafood. Some mornings, fisherfolks come in with their catch and you can buy from them. The unit has kitchen implements available for use(pots, pans, rice cooker, grill, plates, utensils). The ref and chest freezer is at the main house; let us know if you need some items stored. Our on-site crew will be around to help you out; please feel free to let them know if there is anything you might need or need advice how to schedule your stay. Surfing lessons are seasonal. We may contact the instructors for you if your are interested. For anglers, during the low tide, you can walk to the edge about 200m out just before the deep drop and cast there. Please be mindful of your lines and sharps. If you'd like, we can also arrange a trip out to the farther deeper areas. This is for a fee that goes directly to the boatman who will assist you.
