WestWind Mountainside Retreat II

Spectacular location, great for skiers in winter or hikers or foliage viewers in season. 20 min. from Stowe Village. Spectacular 270-degree view of Mt Mansfield (Stowe Mountain Ski area). 7 wooded & pastured acres for hiking or snowshoeing. Guests share the home entrance with the host. We DEEP CLEAN before your arrival and after your stay with us. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that I am immuno-compromised, WE REQUIRE GUESTS OVER 12 TO BE VACCINATED. The space The room has 1 queen size and 1 full-size bed. The full bathroom with shower is located immediately next to the bedroom and is for the private use of guests. The bedroom and bathroom are handicapped accessible, as is the entire main floor of the house. The bedroom has sliding door access to the deck which faces west and the panoramic view of Mount Mansfield & Stowe's ski trails. Note: during snow season, snow tires or all wheel drive is recommended to avoid any problems going up the driveway. Guest access The Living Room, Dining Room & Kitchen are available for guest use as is the deck. Breakfast and trail snacks are provided. Of course, the property is available to guests for walking or hiking. During your stay I work from my home office so I am available during the day and evenings most times unless I have a rehearsal or a performance (I sing with the VT Symphony Orchestra and the VT Choral Union). If I am not available for specific dates, due to travel, etc., guests will be taken care of by my co-host, my partner, Monica. Other things to note Although the house has 3 stories, we are built into Elmore Mountain so the 2nd floor is the entrance level. PLEASE NOTE: In winter, the driveway is plowed regularly however, the driveway in 0.1 mi. uphill from the house so guests are advised to have snow tires or AWD to be certain to avoid any problems.
