Just a five-minute walk from Waikawa Marina and with views of the surrounding hills, this is the ideal base for your Marlborough Sounds adventure – welcome to Sounds Good! Guests have use of a secure berth at the Waikawa Marina for boats no more than 8m. Split over two levels, the sun-drenched house sleeps up to six guests over three bedrooms. With a modern kitchen, dining table, cosy couches, wall TV with Chromecast, and complimentary high speed fibre WiFi, settle in and make yourself at home! The space Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. The beds will be made up for you prior to arrival and we will strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property. The full-sized family bathroom is modern and fresh, nicely accommodating each guest. A separate second toilet is included, while downstairs is a laundry with a washing machine and tub, an added convenience for your stay. A portacot, baby bath and highchair are available for use. Downstairs there is an additional living area, a perfect hideaway! There are plenty of games, books and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. A large deck and concrete patio will let you take in all the scenery, including the Waikawa Stream and Reserve over the road. Make the most of the outdoors with a picnic table and sun umbrella. Situated on a suburban section, there’s ample of room for cars and the boat. There is a fish filleting station available if you're lucky enough to catch some! Base yourselves in Waikawa while you explore the surrounding areas and attractions, including Queen Charlotte Walkway, Eco tours, dolphin watching, kayaking adventures, the Marlborough wineries, to name a few. Picton town centre is just a 5-minute drive away where there is a FreshChoice supermarket to grab your essentials. Picton’s stunning waterfront is surrounded by many great cafes, restaurants and bars as well as the Interislander Ferry terminal heading straight to Wellington! Other things to note There is a carport with a lockable roller door, under the deck, for guest use. There is a back gate that you can drive through, making easy entry and exit when you are towing a boat. Grab a lemon or two off the tree to enjoy with your fish (or gin!).
