Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home in Alyth, a welcoming gateway to the Scottish Highlands. The town offers an abundance of cycling and walking routes, with the quiet glens of the Cairngorms National Park to the north and the rolling farmlands of Strathmore to the south. The house is well set up for outdoor-minded guests, with plenty of books and maps to help plan your adventures, secure bike storage, a well-equipped kitchen, and drying facilities for kit and clothing. The space Provided by Bikepacking Scotland, this house is designed with active travellers in mind and makes a great base for exploring the outdoors around Alyth. Guests have access to a secure bike shed, and bike hire is available locally at Alyth Cyclery (fees apply). To reduce our environmental impact, the house is powered by a 14-panel solar PV system (6.16 kW) with a 9.5 kW battery, installed in May 2025. There are two main bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The third bedroom can be used either as a single bedroom or a workspace, with a desk and chair provided. This room has two stacked single beds; these can be separated to form a twin, but space will be limited. For groups of up to six guests, the downstairs living room can be used as an additional sleeping area. The sofa converts into a comfortable double bed, with all bedding provided.
